Ginevra Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 In any case, there’s no way I’m following a link and putting in account numbers. But is this something PayPal might do, send an email saying my account has been suspended? Screenshot: Quote
RootAnn Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 Phishing scam! I get it on my email that is not linked at all to my actual PayPal account! 3 Quote
Katy Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 I get this 4-5 times a day on an email address that I've never used with paypal. 3 Quote
RootAnn Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 And the emails I get from PayPal (other than money received or sent) greet me by the name on the account, not "customer." 1 1 Quote
Pam in CT Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 Yes, phishing. I got a particularly official-looking one a couple days ago claiming my credit card billing address and account address did not match, telling me to press the link to update. Careful examination of the email address revealed it to be originating from Quote tokeshop.co.uk which literally had me LOL. I think there are a lot of tech-savvy kids with a lot of time on their hands right now. 1 1 Quote
catz Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 I have received this scam as well. If I'm remembering correctly the return email address looks scammy. I keep getting a similar thing from "Amazon". 🙄 1 Quote
