Call camp grounds first thing

get caught up on laundry?  Or at least a dent?

I think that there was something else but I can't think of it at the moment. . . oh, wait. . .  change out bunny litter.  I'm trying a new schedule where I do it more often but it's not habit yet.

Good morning!

My Zoom tutoring student was on vacation, set this week for our return to tutoring date, is not home yet b/c TX Covid numbers are crazy, so we moved our tutoring time back 1.5 hrs to accommodate vacation schedules & time zones & such.

So, today I have:

...lots of coffee
...tutor at 8:00
...laundry....always with the laundry....
....work on piecing stuff for the back of my finished Round Robin quilt, which turned out amazing
....work on making bags to hold all my school stuff (sorted into zipper pouches, but need a way to corral what's what)
....try out the other mask pattern to see if it works well
....maybe more fun sewing??
....work on lesson plan stuff - next up: 1st Grade math/science/history
....check email obsessively waiting to hear from our directors as to whether we're starting off with in person, on line, or offering both, or ????
....if we have to do online, get moving on prep for that, the more I can do ahead of time, the better
....lunch: DH's domain
....dinner: no idea.....something easy, b/c we also have to cook taco meat for the kids' D&D group tomorrow
....remember to look over what's on tomorrow's tutoring schedule and prep anything needed for that (I've been pulling one interesting thing from the world atlas to focus on/do a craft of, which she loves, so just need to see where we are tomorrow and what might interest a 4 yr old)(so far we made paper "Faberge Eggs" and "Chinese Lanterns", plus a book of African animals)

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but.....(oh, ha, figure out my Ikea order, and plan when I can go out there) (and figure out what other supply items I might need for school, and order them as needed)

Happy Monday....

Had the tutoring; that went well. This little girl is a hoot, and is super fun to tutor.

Came down, DH remembered we had to call our life insurance and see what's up, because we sent in our payment, but after, got a bill for double. Called, turns out, we had term insurance (which I guess we knew....) and we'd reached the end of our term (which they never communicated to us at all prior), and although we had called to find out the amount to send, because we knew it was arriving late, we were told the old amount not the new amount and no info communicated on that issue at all at that time. And now that company is no longer actually selling life insurance, and so we're shopping around. Well, we're paying this payment to keep it going while we shop.

So, coffee'ing up, tackling lesson plans, and hitting the To-Do list while DH shops life insurance.

logged fasting bloodsugars.  I'm not feeling well and it's reflected in high bloodsugars.

fed Neko and Juliet.  Fortunately Barfy McBarferson hadn't thrown up this morning.

premedicated

fed myself

called the camping facility where we have camp.  Found out that if I hadn't called him first today, he was going to call me because they are cancelling all residential (overnight) camps.  So we couldn't have had camp anyway.  This was an answer to a prayer I hadn't even uttered because it totally validated our decision to some who aren't taking this virus as seriously.  (But here I am violating my own rule that this be a virus free zone)

medicated myself

medicated Juliet

PT - upper body exercises.

made bed

showered and dressed

brushed teeth

You did give us permission to address "the virus as it impacts the to-do list" so you are well within your guidelines to mention the camp issue, Jean; I'm glad you guys got the validation you needed, and had that answer to prayer this morning!

Got the 1st Grade lesson plan sheet done, except the math was all kinds of wonky, so need to sit down with the math and do that later. But science/history is done.

Entered the supply fee checks I picked up last week, deposited those (love being able to do that through the phone).

DH has started the spread sheet to figure out our current life insurance needs.

the directors still haven't emailed. I will try not to be impatient.

DH is cooking lunch, I need to figure out a plan for dinner so I can thaw the proper meat.

Back from the vet appt.

Made breakfast for dh

Cleaned the kitchen

Switched laundry

Placed a Schwan's order

Now I am going to go out and make sure Smokey's eye is looking okay. Ds21 said there is a bat flying around out there, so I have to keep an eye out for that. Weird that a bat is out and about in the daylight.

Howdy.  Just checking in for a second because I have a conference call coming up in a few minutes.

Today has been a trial so far with one kid.  I know this will pass, but man.  Sucks to feel despised for trying to do the right thing.  I know many of you can relate!  Wish I could just go to bed and feel sorry for myself like certain people, but nope ... I have to be the adult.  😛

Other than that, I would say it's been relatively productive compared to other days pre-2pm....

Later ....

@Margaret in CO, wow, congratulations to him!!!

Have dinner more or less planned for tonight, and the appropriate meat thawing

Also have the meat for tacos tomorrow thawing (those are for lunch/dinner for the D&D kids)

spent way too long looking at fancy-schmancy customizable teacher planners only to exceed the extra page limit and not be able to add the extra page I really want and when I should not really get a paper "write in with pen" planner anyway now that I'm typing one up......but it was fun while it lasted

DH reminded me I still have to finish "summer school" with DS15, so.....doing that now. With a snack.

Still no word from the directors about our co-op. I am realizing I am not a patient person. Ha!

Washed, dried and put away dishes, knives and pans.

Folded and put away the rest of the load of laundry

Paid one more bill with dh's help since he set it so that the authorization code goes to his phone and not mine.  I wonder how long before he realizes how totally inefficient it was to set it up like that?

Pulled garbage and yard waste bins up from the curb

a bit more camp stuff since there is a flurry of communication going on right now.

Bunnies are out for exercise time.  Juliet is having fun herding them - or trying to herd them.  They just hop through her legs while she looks around in confusion for them!

Changed out the cat litter.  Broke down cat litter box and put it out in recycling.  Fortunately there still was room in the bin that still hasn't been picked up.

Folded and put away a second load of laundry

One load of laundry washed and now in the dryer.

I'm in the process of dinner making.

Finished summer school for the day with DS15. Caught mostly up on Math. I think we'll set a timer each day and work one subject a day until we're through with what we were supposed to have done. We got a LOT of math done that way today.

Went with DH to the store for last minute tidbits.

Still not email from the directors.

Time to cook dinner. DH is vacuuming. Kids are cleaning/tidying upstairs the area they use for D&D tomorrow. Will cook the taco meat later tonight and then in the morning, toss it in the crock pot to keep warm/season. Should be good.

Well, I survived the conference call.  Due to someone else's delay, I am going to have to re-do a report that was already done.  Yay me.

I made a partial temporary peace with the wayward child and then took a nap.  Then I ordered KFC, which the kids wanted.  During dinner one of the aunties was present, so my kid went off again, hoping to get the auntie on her side I guess.  I am so done listening to her crap.

I have at least 4 reports that should go out today yet.  And I need to finish my daily walking/running/yoga.

I should note what got done before the 2pm conference call.  I took Kid2 to her first cross country practice.  It was fine, but she is mad because I signed her up.  High school is all new to her, she knows nobody, she is out of shape from sitting on her bed for 4 months, and she desperately needs the exercise.  She loves running more than almost anything.  But she is competitive and mad because she can't yet keep up with the others (who are older and have been practicing a couple weeks already).  I know it will be fine, but she doesn't see that yet.

The next thing we did was go to the chiropractor due to a referral relating to her OCD.  Needless to say, that was stressful too.  In case it isn't obvious, I am the worst mom in the history of the world.

Also, I just found out today that I was supposed to do a ton of online forms in order for my kids to be eligible for high school sports.  Last week I already filled out 24 pages of paper forms, so I thought that was done.  😕  So today I completed another 30 or so forms online (some of which required me to read articles and watch videos etc.).  I still need to get my kids to add their electronic signatures etc today.
