A gunman dressed as a fedex employee has supposedly shot the husband and son of judge Esther Salas.  She was in the basement at the time and is safe.  The son was killed.

I don’t know who exactly she is but it feels like this story is probably important.

There are lots of important stories right now, many that are getting almost no airtime.

This one is absolutely horrifying, targeting someone’s family for their execution of judgment and justice is not tolerable in a civil society. I hope they track the perpetrator and slap him with the harshest sentence possible for premeditated revenge murder and attempted murder. And may the Lord have mercy on that family as they grieve their lost son and gravely injured husband.

Can’t even imagine having your child die because of your job.  Tragic.

The husband is a criminal defense attorney. Maybe he was the target?

Yes possibly.  Apparently someone said she was also recently assigned (?) to a case to do with Epstein, Deutschebank and money laundering.  However I guess with being either a judge or attorney you can be targeted for so many reasons.  I hope they find the person responsible so the family can feel some level of safety again.  Very sad.

I doubt it.  One of her cases was related to Epstein and the Deutsche Bank.  The whole thing is beyond horrific.

She was assigned a case related to Epstein a few days ago - it sounds like an assassination attempt.

Just read about it.  It does sound like an assassination attempt, but for whom and why?

It's completely horrifying.   I hope the authorities get to the bottom of this very quickly.  That poor mother and wife.

Shooter has been found dead of a presumed self inflected gunshot wound.  He was an attorney in a case she was on in 2015

Gee, that's ... convenient

Did you mean to link a different article? It's possible they edited that one after you linked it, but I can't find anything in there that says her husband was the target.

Yeah, I just noticed that they did quite a bit of updating of the article and it no longer says that.

I couldn’t see it when I read it either but was half asleep so didn’t comment.  It does make sense though.  I’m sure there’ll be more info at some point.

Apparently not only is he well known but he is top suspect in another killing - the killing of another men’s rights lawyer.  Police said maybe jealousy that the other man had one a case was a motive . It all seems a bit odd.

Maybe I've read too much John Grisham, and maybe I need a tinfoil hat, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that - if he is in fact well known for his kooky hatred of female lawyers - *someone* with an interest in seeing this woman die or be intimidated about the Epstein case goaded him and/or paid him to do it.

No, I don't think covid 19 is caused by 5G and yes, I do believe we landed on the moon ... but this all seems reeeeeeeally fishy to me.

I saw that authorities think there may be a link between him to another murder a couple of weeks ago.   Angelucci was a rival men's rights lawyer or something like that.  It just sounds to me like the murderer was already on the edge and something tipped him over.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/22/us/hollander-angelucci-judge-salas-shooting/index.html

It may also indicate that her husband (rival attorney) rather than her was the actual target given the previous possible murder being like that?  Ugh
