Personal finance course for ASD?

Recommended Posts

My son has ASD and an expressive language disorder. He liked Dave Ramsey's homeschool high school course as long as we steered away from some of the speculative questions and busy work. He was fine with the factual questions and quite enjoyed the videos and topics.

You could substitute activities or supplement with some resources from Scaffolded Math and Science. She talks about personal finance and consumer math on her site, and I think she has some resources on TpT.

I wish I had remembered her resources while my son was doing the Dave Ramsey course!

Thank you so much kbutton!  I think we are going to try this.  I appreciate the additional resources you mentioned.  Going to look them up too.

I forgot, but DR also has a middle school course. You might find that easier to modify if the topics covered are similar. I don't know how the content lines up between the middle and high school courses, so it could be moot.
