Day 4 of Project Week
We're all wiped out.  I woke up this morning at 5am with an all too realistic bad dream.  I hate that. 😞

Patio today! DH is already off for the second load of pavers! Would be thrilled to post pics tonight!
Coffee
Sam's Club order online
Breakfast

Praise music and Paint!  2nd coat going on the kitchen doors this morning!
Hang pictures in Ella's room I didn't get to yesterday.
Order vinyl trim & glue for the mudroom floor.

And for the most challenging part of my day - Paint a sample of Edgecomb gray in the kitchen because I make ridiculously poor choices and I'm going to have the girls paint my kitchen before extended family comes Saturday morning.  LOL! Trying to figure out how to tell the girls without a revolt.  I think cake will need to be involved.

Selkie, I think you win for most interesting thing today - clean applesauce off kitchen ceiling! I hope you aren't offended, but that made me chuckle!

My day is relatively calm. I need to:
...coffee
...go tutor the 4 yr old
...come home, eat lunch (leftovers)
...nap
...fold laundry from yesterday
...NOT sew stuff, b/c my hand needs a rest day
...work on lesson plan stuff
...dinner: some kind of sausage/pasta/something but this is challenging b/c one kid is doing dairy free at the moment, so.....?
...after dinner: TV with the boys?? Something else??

Lol, no offense taken!  I'm a klutz and make some interesting messes while mixing up my concoctions.

This one is annoying, though, because I have to get the ladder out. The ceiling is 10' high.

Tutored the 4 yr old - we made paper lanterns today and learned about China & Eastern Asia; scissor practice for the win! She had fun.

Had traffic on my way home -- this is a 10 min drive, down literally one road. BUT, signal work right at the highway junction (well, one light back) had things stopped. Detoured around it, got home in 25 mins vs. 10. I hate to think what it would have been w/o the detour!

Ordered the clear face shields for the school year; realized I'd better order, in case there are production/shipping delays or anything.

My hand mostly feels better, and is only sore right at the joint in one position, just between having my finger bent and having my finger straight out.

Time to eat lunch, and figure out what all to work on today. I think the big project will be working on completing the lesson plan book.

Gorgeous day here! Sunny, blue sky, and 80 degrees.

Did horse chores

Opened up one of the lower pastures

Dusted

Got done with human laundry and started on dog bed covers

Ordered more detergent pods

Found two kinds of soup in the freezer, lentil and Thai chickpea noodle, so I’m going to heat them up for dinner

Talked with my boy's teacher and (head of school). The school has made a few changes in classes, teachers, and structuring and I am very pleased. This is someone who really understands my kid! Both academically and as a person.  So exciting. A true blessing. This tiny, ecclectic middle school was a good fit last year (when Ds and I reached the end of our homeschool road) and will be even better this coming year - despite the wretched virus.

Working on the lesson plan stuff. Remembering why I've never converted it to computer/digital before: because I can't figure out an easy way to get the format I want/like in a paper planner. :sigh:

working on it anyway.

Cat's bathroom is all cleaned, floor mopped etc.

Bunnies have been pulled out of their crates for extra exercise time.  I was getting lots of heel flicks - a sure sign of rabbits cussing me out.  😉  Rusty was especially emphatic because I dared to groom him a bit of the mass summer molt he has going on.  How dare I get rid of that extra fuzz!

Finally more or less got Word to cooperate and created the lesson plan format that I think will work for me. Got 2nd grade math/science/history done.

I'll need to tackle, over the next few weeks, 2nd Grade lang arts. First grade math/science/history. First grade lang arts. K math/science/history.  K lang arts. But now that I have a format I like, I think this will work/go more smoothly.

Heading to fold the clothes still waiting, and then cook dinner.

All done packing and prep.I'm wiped out!

Tons of AHG stuff to do, but I will only get to a bit this week.

Enjoying my peach tea and about to read before bed.

Long drive tomorrow!

Taking the coming week off from the Boards and the internet in general. Just going to enjoy the beach, eat fresh seafood, read, sleep, and relax for 6 whole days.

Y'all stay well and don't have any wild adventures or start hilarious threads while I'm gone! 😎
