A bunch.of my friends are at a bachelorette party tonight which is a really dumb idea.  But I do wish I could be there.  They will be at the wedding tomorrow that we are also not going to.  On top of that I'm having the worst period pains I've had in years.  Plus our internet went out and I am missing the Sounders game the first one in months.

I feel you. My neighbors are having another party. They have had one every weekend since Father's day. They have a nice pool, but they prefer to party indoors. Oh, and the neighbor is a cop. 😕

Yeah it's sucks and really don't think I'm being over cautious. Our area has ~100 new cases a day. A 20% test rate an almost full ICU.  I also know that people attending haven't been quarantining all that much.  Several have traveled out of town recently, or had gatherings on the 4th.

I'm sorry.  It is hard watching others out having fun, while I stay home and follow the rules. I hope your pain gets better soon.  I find hot baths help me a lot, not sure if that is an option for you.

I will go sit in the hot-tub once the baby is in bed.

My daughter had a batchelorette party planned.  It was only her siblings and sisters in law.   They were going to do outside dining.  It got cancelled after a potential covid exposure.  Is it possible they're being careful in ways you're unaware of?

We're having the wedding here at our house (yard actually) next weekend.  It's just going to be my children and their spouses/kids.  His family have opted to not come 😞  Mainly because a 2hr drive is too much for them and, obviously, they don't want to stay the night anywhere.   But, we're a large family, so it will look like a "party".    We'll be well under the 50 person limit of our county.

It does suck though, especially if you're already feeling bad.  hugs

The hardest thing about watching other people taking chances and not following the rules is that it affects us all, not just them/their families. It affects how long this lasts...how many people get sick/hospitalized/die (who knows how they will pay for those long hospitalizations if they don't have insurance), how long people are out of work, how many small businesses cannot hold out long enough to remain open, the lives of people in industries (like the arts) who have no way of going back to work and often times no option for unemployment/assistance due to work situations that don't fit the norm (ask me how I know), etc....  The long-term consequences will be horrible for so many people.

It disgusts me how little regard people in the country have for others, actually.

Editing to add...Not to even mention more deaths, hospitalizations, and sick people.
