Help Me Make a Sad Songs Playlist

I'm making a playlist of sad songs just because I like sad songs.

I'm just getting started and only have a few so far. So the field of suggestions is wide open. Any genre is fine.

I can do an internet search and find more, but I'd like to find some that don't show up on every list.

Hurt (Nine Inch Nails/Johhny Cash)

Long Nights (Crack the Sky)

I am Stretched On Your Grave (old Irish song /various recordings)

Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen)

Unspoken by Welshly Arms

Ordinary by Paula Cole

I tried to link to youtube, but it embedded the video; I am not sure that's OK, and couldn't just paste in the link. So, sorry. But they are easy to find.

I love Cockburn, especially his If I Had A Rocket Launcher

So few people have even heard of him outside of Canada... it's always wonderful to find "my people" 🙂  💗

Wandering Where the Lions Are and All the Diamonds are my favorites.  But, Humans is his best overall album.

The Rose - Barbra Streisand version

You Get Bigger As You Go - Bruce Cockburn

Pacing the Cage - Cockburn again (very apropos for quarantine)

How Can You Mend a Broken Heart - I'm partial to the Bee Gees version but there are others you might prefer

I made a mistake.  The Rose sung by Bette Midler...  Ooops..

I so look forward to singing “Miserere” every Tenebræ.

I look forward to it too. 🙂  The first time I ever heard it (the recording I linked to, in English), I had to pull the car over because I couldn't see to drive. I've known that psalm since I was little but that was the first time it went through into my heart.
