Maybe ice and heat would provide some relief? Chris - a thought - you might really prefer a rollator. I have one I LOVE. A walker is so difficult to maneuver and it has no place to sit. A rollator has hand controls to slow you down and provides a lot of control as well as smooth movement. It also has a seat. 😉 My insurance did cover mine. https://www.amazon.com/Drive-Medical-Nitro-Rollator-Walker/dp/B009SOC9PI/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=nitro+rollator&qid=1593518216&sr=8-5 (I needed BIG wheels - we live in the country where uneven ground and gravel reign.) I really wish we could get our at least 6k back that we spent on the Reformation tour (with Oberammergau passion play that only happens every 10 years) which was our original 35th year anniversary trip (we really did nothing for our 30th), That way we could spend some money on hiring some people to do more work for us and things could happen faster. Although my dh is still in denial about how much I have declined. 5 Quote

That is what I am getting- I don'r know terminology all that well yet. Yes, my insurance is covering it. I believe my average of falls is one a month, right now. 5 Quote

My DH fell while skateboarding a few days ago (well, while standing on a skateboard and pretending he has a clue what he's doing, in an effort to get our teens outside & moving), and this is what my mom mentioned -- that if he *did* crack his tailbone, it wouldn't hurt until the next day, and then when it *did* start hurting, it would be bad. When she cracked hers, she said she used one of those "donuts" to sit on....not sure what she did about walking. Hopefully it's not that, but....just tossing it out there. Praying the pain lessens. 4 Quote
TheReader Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 Good morning! Moderately busy day today... ...coffee ...breakfast ...tutor the 4 yr old ....home, lunch (19 & 15 yr olds having their DnD group over, so they will have food upstairs, but 22 yr old & I still have to eat; DH will be at a meeting) ....fold.the.laundry. ....work on the 2nd grade LA ....sit down with DS22 and look at potential majors for readmit to school ....remember to actually make his med check appt ....discuss with DH whether we are enrolling DS15 in co-op next year, and go turn that in maybe (he wants to wait, just in case) ....sewing stuff ....I feel like there is more that I'm forgetting..... 5 Quote
ScoutTN Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 My list will get rearranged bc I desperately need to clean my fridge (as in take the shelves and drawers out etc.) and then grocery shop. Food trumps the rest of the to-do list! 5 Quote

I have done that before but this is more in front. In fact, if I don't touch it to find the source, I would think that my v==-===na was sore. But it is either the left lower pubic bone or the syphysis pubic ligament. 1 3 Quote

I had some weird pain in that region a year or two ago; no one ever did figure it out (but it eventually went away). Big prayers for you, 'cause I remember how excruciating that was. 4 Quote
TheReader Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 Home from tutoring the 4 yr old. Today she was so distractable. Had to skip some stuff, fill in with other stuff, and a LOT of redirecting. Age appropriate, and why I wanted to stick to one hour not hour & a half, but the grandparents vetoed me, so here we are. I'll bring a lot more hands-on stuff on Thursday and adapt the plan. Had an email from a student from last year....mom wanted me to tutor over the summer. Gave her my rates. Never heard back. Emails today asking if my classes in the fall still have space; they do, yay, I look forward to having your kiddos. She's undecided, and was hoping maybe I'd tutor on my off day (not clear if that's instead of or in addition to...). I may have to call her and get a clearer idea what she wants (well, probably what she wants is a discount....) So, home. Next up, lunch. Then tweak the plan for the 4 yr old, write back the above mentioned mom, and proceed from there on the rest of the list. 5 Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted June 30, 2020 Author Posted June 30, 2020 forgot to log fasting bloodsugars even though I washed my hands and then sat down with my meter. Sigh. ScoutTN Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 @Jean in Newcastle Lately I've has several days when I can't remember if I have taken my morning medication or not. My brain is definitely less sharp than a few years ago. 1 2 Quote
ScoutTN Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 Folded and put away a load of laundry. Tidied a bedroom. Changed an orthodontist appointment. Cleaned most of the fridge. I'll do the doors later this week. 5 Quote
SKL Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 Still scrambling to catch up on my June work. I did get a couple of big ones done so far today. Kid2 finished her horse riding. Kid1 was woken up.... The kids' confirmation questioning has been postponed by the pastor until next Tuesday. So the kids don't really have anything to do, but I am too busy to do anything about that. Oh well. Still hoping to get to the laundry. Folks are working outside, tearing down our old shed that had been taken over by raccoons, and disposing of the huge amount of stuff that was in the shed, maybe planting some shrubs? I can't focus on that right now. Really need to make that to-do list I keep talking about. 6 Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted June 30, 2020 Author Posted June 30, 2020 Called the compound pharmacy back because I realized that I forgot to order some non-prescription things that they have on their shelves and that I can't get anywhere else. They are not actually letting people in the pharmacy right now (curbside only) so my usual routine of picking stuff up off the shelves while I'm there picking up my prescription wouldn't work. But that's all sorted and I can pick it all up at the same time. 5 Quote
Selkie Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 I am halfway through my office work and going to take a break and go out and do horse things. Need to switch the laundry, too. Kitchen is clean. Worked on puppy training. 3 Quote

ScoutTN Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 (edited) Taking a break to rest and listen to dd's piano lesson. Our teacher is so good! Today has turned out to be stressful and frustrating. Little things, but lots of them. I'm exhausted. Lots to do later... I did get an Alg 2 solutions manual for a decent price on Ebay. Edited June 30, 2020 by ScoutTN 3 Quote

Because I would either forget to take or double take by mistake. 2 Quote
TravelingChris Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 Back from primary care, I have an inferior pelvic ramus fracture. Easiest and least concerning type of pelvic fracture and nothing to do except take pain meds and rest (but keep walking a little bit like in the house). 1 2 Quote
