TheReader Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Good morning! DH remembered at 6:45 that he has to meet a coworker at 7:00 to pick something up; fortunately we are near to the meeting place, so he quickly got ready and took off. My list: ...coffee ...try and figure out why my computer mouse is no longer functioning; the computer thinks it is working (according to the settings, etc.) but the pointer does not show up/it doesn't seem to be actually working. Even when something is highlighted as though the mouse pointer is touching it, clicking on it does nothing. (which is fine, 'cause I can't see where it is anyway). ...muddle along with the computer touch screen until then ....back up all my school files so that if this is a sign of a too-old computer that's going to start giving me problems, I don't lose all that work ...fold laundry -- I *washed* all the trip laundry, but have folded approx. 0 loads of it so far..... ...try and figure out why one cat is throwing up, what to do about it, and if we need to take her to the vet, can we do so?? (are they open right now, etc.) ...check on DS22's med status and make an appt for him, he should be approaching "need a refill" status soon-ish I think....? ...work on sewing projects -- new mask design to try out, put together Christmas trees for a project, put together little hexagon flowers for a different project ....work on school stuff -- schedule out the 2nd grade Lang. Arts stuff ....do school with DS15 ....lunch: DH's domain ....dinner: ???? ....after dinner: probably it's a TV night, so Robin Hood 7 Quote

Falls hurt! I'm sorry. I am SO ready to tackle Monday! We have been making plans, scrapping plans, drawing plans FOREVER. Yesterday we discovered the incline for a ramp with a power chair can be slightly steeper than ADA. LIFE CHANGING! We can now fit a ramp in our mudroom which means a ramp in our garage instead of reinventing the wheel and building a big deck and ramp in the front! SO:Coffee BibleDentist appointments x 3 at 9:00 Put sod in the front and level it out (Me and DS15)Poly trim (me) Finish painting the back of the ShedCut kitchen kickboards (Me)Nail/glue kitchen kickboards (DD 16 & 13) Finish filling random nail holes in bathroom & living room (DD13) Touch up paint EVERYWHERE (DD16) It's weird but we get more chips, dings, and scrapes than is humanly possible.Laundry - 2 loads down and counting.... Forgot we were babysitting today! Helpers! Man, I have adorable grandkids. 😉 Afternoon:Run errands - pick up planters from a FB buy (me & DD9, DD16)Pick up stuff for Liv's birthday supper! Selkie Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Good morning! Sorry about the fall, Christina. Glad you are okay!🌼 Happy birthday to your dd, Kelly! 🌸 Happy anniversary, Amy!🌹 Looks like it is going to be hot and humid all week. I went out early to top the water tank off with cold water, make some fence repairs, and let the horses out to graze. It was already sticky and the bugs were out in full force at the crack of dawn. office work - banking & finances post office check how much fencing material I have - probably need to get more open up the automatic waterer and give it a scrub make hummus vacuum work on veggie garden tidy up pantry dinner: leftovers 6 1 Quote
TheReader Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Happy Bday, Kelly's DD! Happy Anniversary, Amy! My mouse is working intermittently. Weirdness. Hopefully it works enough that I can get done all I need to w/o becoming too frustrated. Also maybe DH can find a spare mouse around somewhere; I'm sure we've got a wired mouse left somewhere.... Looked up causes of cat vomit; probably hairball, so going to tackle it from that angle and see if we can't get it under control. She is eating and keeping food down, (and other than the vomiting, doesn't seem like an issue of a blockage, from what we can tell), seems completely fine, not weak/lethargic/anything like that, so doesn't seem like "urgent, get to a vet asap" kind of thing. Best guess is stress of having the extra dog (who went home last night) led to stress grooming, led to hairball, led to vomiting. Reviewing the rest of the list and starting on all that now.... 5 1 Quote
DawnM Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 I woke up sick. Stress. Massive amounts of stress. Foster son's birth mother went off on me last night. All unfounded of course, but she is flipping out. So, today, I will sit and do next to nothing all day. I may even order take out. I need to get myself together somehow. 7 Quote
TheReader Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 I printed the pattern for the other mask shape Settled on an idea for dinner, printed the recipe my mouse is behaving, so that's a problem for another day looked up the instructions for my new face cleaner stuff talked to DS about his school options for next year had a snack gathered the stuff to schedule the 2nd grade LA stuff ordered individual zipper pouches/pencil pouches for school supplies for the fall (and more crayons, b/c I'm always out) 6 Quote
BlsdMama Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Oh Dawn, hugs, try to remember her perception does not represent reality. I wish others didn't have the power to affect us. Definitely rest and recover. 5 2 Quote
BlsdMama Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Breaking out the power nailer - legs don't fail me now. Grandkids have had two hours outside, running like tiny maniacs and feeding goats random vegetation. I feel no guilt over them glued to Octonauts currently. 7 Quote

TravelingChris Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 (edited) Called the psychologist staff who will do neuropsych retesting (hopefully) and they still hadn't gotten to their Friday faxes so I will wait for call on that. Got one prescription, mailed a get well card and dh's application for absentee primary runoff ballot got us chik fil A lunch Oh and a real blessing, Tricare finally got smart and got us people with at least two chronic conditions- and I have many more than 2, a special service where RNs will help us make appointments, figure out billing, find practioners, etc. I got this notice last Friday and called today and asked them if walkers are covered because my one (which I had bought with our own money) was stolen this last Spring. They are and they found a place in town- the same place I got my cpap machine from. They even told me what to tell the doctor to write on the prescription-- he had done everything right except he needed to put brakes on their too. Edited June 29, 2020 by TravelingChris 6 Quote

TheReader Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Chris, so glad your insurance got things sorted out on the walker! That is great news! Jean, thank you! I'll do a search for one. We are hoping it's hairball. She's never had chronic problems, but this last week it's been daily. Much research later, I really think it's hairball, and I really don't think blockage, and.....we shall see. So.... ...had an email from my grandma, scheduled a visit with her for Weds ...took a nap ...scheduled out the first 9 weeks of 2nd grade LA (including in class activities planned for each week, which weeks to combine, etc.) ...had lunch Still need to... ...go with DH to grocery shop (and get hairball remedy stuff) after he picks up something from a coworker ...school with DS15 ...fold the ding-dang laundry ...look up/prep some color sheets &/or activities to go with the tutoring stuff for tomorrow now that I'm staying 1.5 hrs each time ...dinner, etc. 3 Quote
TheReader Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Found the perfect musical instruments coloring pages to use with Story of the Orchestra, for the 4 yr old (yay for TPT!) DH found paint in the garage for the indoor painting we want to do as our next project (I thought we had it still), so we need to get brushes/rollers/etc and then the boys can do that this week. Proofread an email for him. Waiting on his coworker to say it's time to go and then we'll go meet up with her and go grocery shopping. 3 Quote
ScoutTN Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Happy anniversary, Amy! Enjoy your dinner out! Happy Birthday, Kelly's Dd! Dawn, I hope you can rest. You have done a wonderful thing to take the boy. Cristina, sorry about the fall. Scary. Glad no big injuries! 4 Quote

SKL Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Hi, guys. My big June work deadline is past, and I've started catching up with all the other things that got neglected over the past 2 months. I made some progress, but have a lot to do. I need to make a long list and get productive! Today I am working on getting the kids back into a sort of normal routine, i.e., wake up before noon, eat 3 meals, practice music, limited electronics, etc. They are preparing question/answers to discuss with our pastor tomorrow night in order to get "confirmed." So for now, I have not started them on "academics," though that is coming. I have lots of work to do, but I procrastinated all day, so hopefully I'll get a lot done overnight. I work better after business hours somehow. And I need to do my walking. Hopefully this week I'll start my other exercises, but not today. Laundry ... maybe I'll do some tonight if I feel like it. I should pay some bills and do some cleaning in my bedroom. 3 Quote
