My ds8 lost one of his keen sandals in the creek today, so we need to replace them. I learned about keens here, so was just wondering if there is something better out there now. He loved being able to just have one slip on shoe for everything summer-creek play, biking, sports, hiking, etc. I thought they were great other than the smell. So, stick with keens or is there something newer/better?

I don’t think there’s a better all-purpose shoe, so I’d stick with those if he still likes them. I have one ds who loves crocs, but those aren’t as all-purpose imo.

My dd grew up in Keens. I would still buy them for her if they had styles that fit her foot and were girly. She is prone to foot odor, so periodically I would soak them in a bucket of bleach water. LOL Once I had to switch to the men's styles to get ones that fit her, I started buying knock offs.

I WISH they made these in wides and extra wides.    My DD has a friend who has 4E width feet but needs something more than a flip flop.  The wider ones would also be great for going over AFOs, etc as well.

Me too!  I have to order so many shoes to find ones that fit dd. I would link what we bought, but they are both no longer available. Due to the lack of extra-extra wide shoes, I tend to read reviews of regular shoes that people say run wide.....then order the wide version. I order on Amazon and it takes soooooo long to find them, but at least she has shoes. LOL The styles that run extra-extra wide on searchable sites like Zappos are so ugly 😞 and not something a teenage girl wants to wear.

My secret hope, is that with gender fluidity becoming more acepted, that there will be a new market for larger-size feminine shoes!  🤩

That would be helpful in our very DUTCH area....it is very common for women in my area to be 5'10-6'+ tall and have size 11-13 feet.  They have a terrible time finding shoes to fit.
