Car rental with no CC?

We have a long trip to take and we are renting a car for it but don't have a credit card. We are renting a car because my kids are very uncomfortable after about an hour because ours is too small for all 3 and we plan to trade our car in (already should have but Covid is a thing) before our baby is born in September and the mileage from this trip knocks us into the next category with a $3,000 devaluation. We found Dollar Car, but wanted to make sure you didn't have a better idea.

When searching for deals on Hotwire or Priceline or whatever, for car rentals there is usually a filter that allows you to look just for ones that will take a debit card/don’t need a credit card.

LIES!

That's where I am. It might have changed recently.

It's there for me, left hand bar under "Security Deposit", which is the filter section below "Rental Agency".  I had to scroll.  I hope that helps.  I would be irked at Hotwire it is were gone so I had to check.

I'm sorry. Priceline. I'm a spaz. Forgive me.

If you are not picking up the car at an airport location, you should be okay with just a debit card at most rental companies. Airport rentals require you to either pay with a credit card or provide an itinerary (airline tickets or cruise). Hotel reservations don't count (ask me how I found that out. 😡😂)
