ScoutTN Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 (edited) Good morning! Dd is having a few friends over tonight as her birthday party. Her actual birthday is in a few days, but tonight is best for the festivities. Hoping it doesn't rain, as they plan to be outdoors most of the time. Help dd get started on making dinner. House cleaning! Remind ds to do Scout things and his chores. Quick run to the big Walmart Walk! I have missed a walk for several days now. As life picks up pace again, I need to work harder at protecting that time. AHG things Edited June 5, 2020 by ScoutTN 5 Quote
SKL Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Howdy. Busy day, flighty brain. Done: A little work in the wee hours - something I had forgotten to do! Yikes. Slept some ... set alarms to get up early and send out some work. Woke up and decided I will do shortcut work and went back to bed! Up again, drove kid to horse riding. Got gas. Washed some dishes. A little reading. Caught up on emails, news, social media, calendar. Working on coffee 2. To do: Lots of client work! Prioritize and get it done! Pay bills. Pick up kid from horse riding. Kid2 needs to choose her clothes for the weekend, do laundry, pack, practice music, and clean her room. Kid2 off to a weekend getaway with her friend. Kid1 needs to wake up, practice music, clean her room, and pack. Yoga, TKD practice, walking. Sign up for a TKD class this weekend / next week?? Might be able to take my missed belt test? Look into online summer camps and sign up? Process to-do's in my inbox. Pack and go to hotel for the weekend(?) Whatever else gets done. 5 Quote

TheReader Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Good morning! So far, I have: ...had coffee ...watched the final episode of Homeland with DH; now we need to find a new "watch before work" show ...sat with DH while he cleaned the area around the patio ...checked on FB for some chairs I'd seen for sale; they are still available, so going to pick them up now ...unloaded & reloaded/started the dishwasher Still need to: ...write some work emails & hopefully schedule visits with the 3 "not yet 5" prospective K students for next year ...write some other work emails to the "interested but haven't been in touch yet" prospective K/1st/2nd parents letting them know early reg. ends June 30th (and that registration is 1st come, 1st serve, and that if everyone sends in registration, the class will fill, so....register pretty please) ...layer & quilt the little wall hanging piece ...fold the laundry from yesterday ...repackage the semi-defrosted chicken so that we have some for cooking tonight (hmm, put some in the crockpot) and some for future meals ...decide on a good veggie to go with tonight's chicken ...make a bag for niece's bday gift...?? Maybe...? ...umm.....whatever else gets done 2 Quote

So hard to plan when everything is up in the air. Decided to make enchiladas for dinner Yep. Both my boys' schools have announced they "plan" to offer in person classes, with online options probably, and after Thanksgiving break everything will move to online only (which mostly just means final exams). One has said they'll do lengthened days/weeks (to include Saturday classes). One has said no in person classes over 50 students (but has also said they will allow professors to choose whether to hold in person, online, or hybrid). One son has registered for classes, at the smaller satellite campus (still part of the main university system) nearer our house so he can live at home and commute (and should have the smaller class sizes that will allow in person classes) (but is registered primarily for stuff that can be done online if need be). One son has not determined, but then there were/are extenuating circumstances there (this being the son that was in the hospital in Jan) so we're not pushing. But the whole thing being so up in the air makes it all that much harder. :sigh: 2 Quote
TheReader Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Okay, ate lunch, took a nap, talked with the kids and everyone says I can swap my sewing room for computer room and vice versa, SO.....heading up to do that! Yay!!! I've been asking about this for a few years. I hope I don't regret it! (It's a slightly smaller space, but will feel less crowded, I think, b/c I won't have a couch encroaching on me....). Will tackle the rest of things later; I need to do this while everyone has agreed and is willing to help move furniture. Yay!!! 3 Quote
