Good morning! I am up early to enjoy the cool air before another hot day.

Started: laundry, general pick up

Done: weeding, shower

Next up: drink coffee and drive ds3 to tennis, grocery store on the way back

Other things to do: read library book, light a figurative fire under the middle children, stay out of the way of lawyers working in the house

Good morning!

Last night I finished folding the clothes - yay!

Today I need to:
...coffee
...tutor
...wash more clothes
...do school with DS15 (should be 30 mins/day, 4 days/week and we'll be finished w/everything and still have 2 wks off before school starts back up)
...sew/quilt
...grocery store - we have to get the meds for DS before they return them to stock; also veggies, b/c I am not good at quarantine shopping
...dinner: pork loin, potatoes, spinach
...anything else that gets done

Paint the door-I have the facing done

Dinner-something with ground beef

Weed one wheelbarrow load

Laundry

Clean floors

Water the plants

Bible study tonight

Whatever else gets done-the painting is the priority. Anything else is a plus.

Well that was the night from hell. I tried to still take the sleepy meds and skipped the others that I had taken in the morning by accident but it was around 2 am when I fell asleep. And I didn’t stay asleep. Don’t let me double up morning and evening meds ever again.

Done tutoring; I need to revamp things for next week, but this is a learning curve and I think the parents understand/appreciate that.

Started laundry, sounds like it's ready for the dryer, so doing that.

Will eat some breakfast and then do school with DS15; I think if we do it mornings before everyone is up (teens sleep late here....) he'll like that best.

Moved the laundry
Cleared off my staging area
Checked in with Dd about English and also today's schedule
Second breakfast
Double checked some things for Ds in Scoutbook

Next up: shower and dress for going out in the world

Summer things are happening and our pace is returning to a more normal, busy one. SO glad my kids have activities and time with friends, and that I have tutoring work, but I loved not driving and being home to do projects. Now my project list is back to being woefully neglected.

First five out of ten steps for seasoning the wok done.  That last step was brutal - involved holding the wok at various angles until the metal turned blue-black.  Very hot work and hard on my arm muscles.  Won't be able to do the last five steps until much later, I think.

Ate lunch, took a nap, folded the laundry from this morning and started a load of jeans.

The guys are here pouring the concrete for the patio; if they finish in a timely fashion, we will go to the store when they're done. If not, that will be tomorrow.

Debating whether to sew or work on stuff for school; I could start scheduling history for 2nd grade and right now that sounds more fun, so I think I'll do that.

I am so productive today! Woot! Scheduled out the 2nd grade history.

The guys are almost done in the back, DH is hovering around the windows making sure they clean up his poor yard, and then we will go to the store.

DH reserved the cabin/house/rental for our NM trip later this month.

Heading upstairs to put jeans in the dryer.

I meant to log in and post here this morning, and ended up having to get my a** in gear quick because I had an English student waiting for me!

However, I'm feeling quite achieved today. I managed to do the following:

  • A little Bible study
  • Teach two students - one of them new, who has crippling anxiety, but she did really well
  • My online workout
  • Check and correct DS14 and DD12's schoolwork
  • A little of my cross stitch
  • Order Thai takeaway (in lieu of cooking, haha)

I'd like to say that I managed to mark the English homework for my Friday group, but I didn't. It's gone midnight here now and I have no brain, so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

masked up and went to the chiropractor

got the new wok totally seasoned.

used my new wok to make tonight's dinner.

found the missing parts to the bird feeder that the birds totally demolished and put it back together.  Filled it again.  I have some new food that the birds just ADORE.  I hope that they don't kill the bird feeder again trying to get to it!
