BusyMom5 Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 So I am nearly 40 and my (hopefully) last baby weaned back around Christmas (at age 2), so I waited a bit for things to even back out before buying new bras---- and Covid! At this point, I am 3 hours from any place besides a WalMart (and they won't let you try on in store OR return clothing), so I plan to try to order. Measurements are as follows: Band- 32" Bust- 37+" Otherwise short, about 145lbs, curvy, but not large busted. I wear about a size 8 in jeans, medium in tops. They give me all sorts of sizes! Anywhere from a 34DD, 36C, 36B. UGH! Do I just order the same bra in 34DD, 34D, and 36C? Then there are all the "You are wearing the wrong bra size" sites, but I can't figure it out. One had me take measurments standing, leaning, and laying down, LOL! It gave me a 34E! Do I use the one at Soma (36C) or go with another calculator. I played with the numbers, and it never gave me a 34DD. So, if you shop at Soma or VS, can you please tell me your favorite bra, and how it fits? Or give me some advice! Quote
Pen Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 If Title Nine telephone customer service is available during current CV19 situation, I suggest calling and asking for help. Unfortunately Bras are not size uniform or accurate sizing IME. If you are using a calculator use it for the specific company you are looking at and try for one with American sizing like Brooks for example, and a company that might have half a chance at consistency. (Or VS.) Quote
Ottakee Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 Well a 34 DD and 34 E are the same size. Do you have a specific bra/brand/Style you are looking at? Sprota bra? Full coverage? Wire or no underwire? That might help us make suggestions. Quote
BusyMom5 Posted May 31, 2020 Author Posted May 31, 2020 It's been a long time- like 4 years- since I've shopped for a regular bra. I used to get Body by Victoria, 36C. I want full coverage, lightly lined, comfortable bra. No front clasp, semi or balconet. Quote
AmandaVT Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 I like the Bali brand Comfort Revolution bras - as a bonus, they're sized Sm, med, lg. 🙂 So some of the sizing angst is taken away. They're quite comfortable too. I buy from Kohls, but I am pretty sure Amazon has them too: https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1730721/bali-bras-comfort-revolution-smart-sizes-shaping-wire-free-full-figure-bra-3488-womens.jsp?color=Navy Dot&prdPV=1 2 Quote
