Teaching3bears Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Of the confirmed cases, do we have a sense of the most frequent ways/ situations in which this has been transmitted? We know: 1. travel (especially in March before we knew much about it) 2. Family members of people who already had it 3. Nursing homes What about the other cases? Where do people get it? Quote
slackermom Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 This article in The Salt Lake Tribune from this weekend covered that topic: https://www.sltrib.com/news/2020/05/23/your-guide-how/ They highlight a bunch of categories and break down how it spreads (or doesn't seem to spread) in those settings 2 Quote
Farrar Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Church and social gatherings are both pretty common places - social like a bar or restaurant or like a family birthday party or even a funeral. Anywhere you sit in the same indoor place with the same people is a bigger risk, be it a bus, an office, a gym, a party, etc. The risk goes up if the space is loud with people talking or singing. The article above lays out the places most commonly traced. If you're not going out then work, the bus, or possibly a store are your risky spots right now. But a lot of people are starting to resume normal living, meaning they're risking a number of places. Quote
