A few of these may be younger than you're looking for.

series
Wayside series (Sachar)
13-Story Treehouse series (Griffiths)
Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle series (MacDonald)
McBroom series (Fleishman)
Strange Case of Origami Yoda (Angleberger) -- and others by him
Kung Pow Chicken series (Marko)
Dragon Breath series (Vernon)
Hamster Princess series (Vernon)
The Princess in Black series (Hale)
Hank the Cowdog series
Bunnicula series (Howe)
Time Warp Trio series -- the occasional "passing gas" humor, but most of the humor is good clean funny

individual titles
Fortunately, the Milk (Gaiman)
Henry Huggins; Henry and Ribsy (Cleary)
By The Great Horn Spoon (Fleischman)
The Whipping Boy (Fleischman)
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Robinson)
Trumpet of the Swan (White)
Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Kinney)

picture books
Doug Cushman "Mystery of..." series: King Karfu; Monkey's Maze; Sandwich Club

bonus ideas:
Calvin & Hobbes cartoon collections
Edward Eager magic books (Half Magic; Magic by the Lake; Knight's Castle; The Time Garden; Seven Day Magic) -- we all adored the humor in these, but they are at a 5th-6th grade level, so maybe just above your child's comfortable solo reading level -- but great for reading aloud.

Thanks for the suggestions--keep 'em coming. I removed the grade level, because I think it'll be more beneficial to have funny books regardless of their level/

All Creatures Great and Small is hilarious. There is some grossness, but that's by dint of dealing with farm animals, not because of base potty humor.

This is what I was going to say too!

We had just started it when quarantine started and my D'S came home from college and he and I enjoyed it just as much as adults as the high schoolers and younger kids did.
