Selkie Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Good morning! My morning got off to an alarming start when I opened the door to one of the haysheds and there was a big snake coiled up on the floor. 😱 No one else was awake, so I couldn't call for backup, and I was too chicken to try to get it out of there myself. So I left it there and am hoping it decides to move along... It's my birthday today - 51! No big plans, other than dh and I are going to work on planting my deck garden before the rain starts. I have ten pots that are 24" across and 18" high, so they'll be pretty heavy when filled with dirt. Dh is going to do the lifting and I'll do the planting. work on garden work with horses read and relax dinner: sweet potato black bean taquitos watch a movie tonight? might watch The Thing with ds19 4 Quote

ScoutTN Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 (edited) Today already got re-arranged bc the Eagle project Ds was to work on got postponed due to weather. Sigh. I was looking forward to having him out with other boys for 4-5 hours today! This week may be rough bc he has almost nothing to do. In June, Scouts can meet irl (and hopefully camp!), the pool opens and swim team begins, flag football begins, church youth small groups can meet irl, so he will have activity and people! He is socially motivated, so just having books to read, badges/advancement to work on, etc. does not help him much. He needs people! This isolation has been very bad for him, in terms of socio-emotional health. Plan B: Remind kids to do their chores. Make sure housework gets done: general tidying, vacuuming, bathrooms Farmer's Market? ✅ Deliver flowers to mom ✅ AHG things Tutoring things Weed one bed and water flowers a the mailbox Dinner is pork tenderloin, kale salad and sweet potato fries. Watch a movie with kids tonight? Edited May 23, 2020 by ScoutTN 5 Quote

Ausmumof3 Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 I am not its Sunday and I’m being ridiculously lazy today! It’s 12.20 and beyond getting the kids on zoom for Sunday school, emptying and restacking the dishwasher and feeding the pets I put baked potatoes in for lunch and that is all. Ok I showered and had breakfast if that counts. but I just barged in because I wanted to share this photo of what happens when one hen is sitting on her eggs no matter what and the other one is laying her egg right there no matter what! note that neither hen is using the laying box! 2 Quote
