Good morning!!  I haven't been here in at least 6 months...I've gone back to work teaching preschool (in my state, preschools have remained open through all this) and have gone back to school to get a masters in teaching.  I have so much to do this weekend, inattentive ADD has struck me big time, and I need some accountability.  So here goes...

-coffee
-work on project due for school (designing a classroom, writing an essay about said design; need to figure out how to use a computer program to draw out classroom, ugh)
-get transcript for DS2 so he can register for community college Calculus and Chem in the fall
-send grades and honors declarations to homeschool group for this prior year
-send application to homeschool group for upcoming school year
-workout (cardio and core)
-grocery store (it is embarassing how long it has been since I've been to the store)
-cook for my family (it is even more embarassing how long it has been since I've made what can be described as a real "dinner")
-laundry
-make sure DS1 is doing the work required so he actually graduates high school in two weeks (this has been an ongoing disaster)
-prep for preschool for the upcoming week
-send some files to FedEx to be color copied and laminated

I have missed all of you so much and can't wait to see you all today!!

  • Cook several meals to freeze for dad (found out yesterday he is not eligible for meals on wheels in SC.  He was eligible in AZ, but the rules are different here!  UGH!) (made double batch meatloaf and a whole potato bag of mashed potatoes, filled 7 containers.  I also have lasagna cooling.  And I made 4 large turkey burgers and will cook some rice.). That actually should be enough for about 3 weeks of dinners as the containers hold about 2 meals' worth of food.  Thankfully, he isn't super picky and can eat the same thing a couple of times per week.  He will also have a large salad and some hot veggies and fruit with each meal.  And maybe some rolls.  I am trying to come up with a plan.
  • Finish making a list of things my dad will need to either find them or go shopping (list is done, shopping will be later)
  • relax.  I am just so tired.

Good morning! So nice to see you Pink and Green! Waving wildly from Colorado!

It will be a beautiful day in the low seventies. The roses came and were planted last night- right before the rain and storms. Today- people are in and out- hikes, tennis, bike rides, etc. I am going to do some weeding and catching up the garden journal.

  • coffee/paper
  • quick pick-up and general cleaning
  • send some emails
  • read a little and enjoy the outside
  • not sure what else

Have a great day!

I love Saturdays! Still working 6.5 hours/day as a high school math education assistant during the week while taking care of disabled dd and doing all the dinners, laundry, etc. On Saturdays I can do something else! I'm a morning person, so I'm having my Saturday mocha (I allow myself these on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays to jumpstart my day). It's a cup of milk, 1 packet of Via instant coffee, and 2 Tbs. Torani dark chocolate syrup. Basically hot chocolate with coffee, but I don't really like coffee on its own. Everyone else is still asleep. On today's agenda:

  • Make masks for our community (I'm at 80 masks over 2 months. Getting to 100 would be an ambitious goal)
  • Apply to teach summer school--it will be online
  • Accounting stuff. Pay my VISA bill
  • Do a little schoolwork either today or tomorrow
  • Seriously try not to overeat. I've gained 2 lbs since Easter
  • Nap?

To do:

  • lunch out
  • go to a garden center   (not today)
  • dinner of Chicken cutlets and more
  • watch Cats

Good morning!

Pink and Green is back!!!🎉🎉🎉 I was on Websleuths the other day for the first time in a long while, and it made me think of you and wonder what you've been up to. Sounds like you've been very busy!

I'm going to enjoy our beautiful weather today, as tonight and tomorrow will be heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Already done:

  • fed horses, dogs, cats, dh
  • let horses out to graze
  • started laundry
  • took a shower
  • hung hummingbird feeder up out on the deck (felt a pang of guilt this morning when I looked out and saw a little ruby throated guy hovering forlornly around the empty hook that it hangs from - he must have remembered it from last year - so I had to run out to the garage and find it and mix up some sugar water)

To do:

  • tons of laundry
  • work with horses
  • order dog beds
  • send a gift for my dad's birthday (Amazon gift card)
  • talk about fencing project with ds21
  • dinner: grilled veggie burgers

Good morning everyone. It's supposed to start raining here in a little while. My plans for today:

coffee/breakfast-done

plan dinner-done

work on online job applications (write a cover letter-ugh)-done

call parents of students who didn't turn in work yesterday-done

Honestly, if I get this done, I will be happy. Those job applications are staring me in the face.

Hello, Pink and Green!!

I made breakfast and then helped dh get the pressure washer hooked together. He's done the patio and the back of the house as part of my fix it up for Mother's Day.

I am contemplating what I want to do in order to have some lights back there. We don't have any hanging porch (except the overhang of the roof) or standing features to work with. . I'm thinking about a lattice panel with small lights woven throughout. I'm not the biggest DIY person, but maybe I can do something.

Not much else to do today.  We're having dinner with our friends who have the huge pavilion so we can social distance but still visit.

So went on the walk, ordered the lunch and picked it up (Vietnamese food that is too far away for delivery to our house but we went walking at a new location further away from our house) and came home and started watching CATS.  Also baked bread, made new dough,  Too tired to go to garden center and that is better left for weekday anyway.

Need to feed birds, water worms, and do some laundry too.

It feels like it's been a busy day today, and I'm tired.

  • Listened to my bible readings this morning and did some more on my cross stitch
  • Chivvied the kids to do their weekend chores
  • Made curry (this takes a long time, but I had bits of time in between chopping, stirring, and adding spices; mostly spent chatting with my SIL in Canada)
  • Quiz night with church on Zoom: this is usually great fun, but the husband got all serious about it and ended up being rude to all of us, so I am still feeling a little salty about that
  • Zoom chat with my oldest, who I haven't seen in person since February. *weeps* We spent most of it screen-sharing some videos of Newfoundland while chatting. 💜

Hope y'all are doing okay. Is anyone else still effectively under lockdown, as we are in the UK?

Busy Saturday here.

I got lots of laundry done. Two more loads of towels are in the works.

The dryer wasn't doing its job very well, so dh cleaned the vent/pipe thingy. Some birds had stuffed it full of twigs.

I groomed the horses and got the last of their winter coats off. Should be warm enough to give them much-needed baths later this week.

Worked in the kitchen some - cut up veggies and roasted a butternut squash.

Dinner was grilled veggie burgers, baked baby potatoes, and broccoli.

All done. Nice to have a clean house, though it was stressful this afternoon getting everyone to work on it. Dinner with friends was lovely! Perfect weather for sitting outside. We have plenty of leftovers, so I don't have to make dinner tomorrow.

Laundry is still working because I stopped it while guests were here. The dryer exhaust vent is by our deck.

Breakfast is set up.

I'm headed to bed.
