DoraBora
DS took Physics C this morning and had trouble copy/pasting his work into the CB answer spaces. The wrong thing kept pasting, so he missed the last question (or two -- my details are a little sketchy.) He's pretty upset. He went back after the time had expired to paste the material that was on his clipboard into another document and it pasted perfectly. Should he email the College Board to explain the problem? BookwormTo2
There are students on Twitter complaining about not being able to submit their AP Physics exams (with a screenshot). I would definitely have your DS let the College Board know there was a major problem with him taking the exam today.
EKS
This is exactly why I hate online tests with time limits. Stuff like this always happens.
Arcadia
From CollegeBoard’s Facebook posts “Approximately 50,000 students took today's AP Physics C Mechanics exam. 98% submitted their responses, while approximately 2% encountered issues attempting to submit their response. Given the wide variety of devices, browsers, and versions students are using, we anticipated that a small percentage of students would encounter technical difficulties, and we have a makeup window in June so students have another opportunity to test.” “If you had trouble attempting to request a makeup, try again, copying and pasting the make-up key exactly. Requests should be submitted within 48 hours of your original testing time. A makeup exam can be requested at cb.org/requestmakeup.”
Kathy in Richmond
There are lots of teachers on the AP physics Community group complaining about this issue right now. Some kids are requesting makeup exams, but there seems to be glitches with that system, too. Trevor Packer posted that "AP Physics students requesting a make-up test can simply go back to their e-ticket and copy the make-up key that is at the bottom of that email, then paste it when prompted to do so at cb.org/requestmakeup. Students can submit a makeup request later today."
DoraBora
Have any of your students requested a re-take? Have they heard anything from CB? Ds is still waiting on word that they'll let him retake Physics C.

Ask your son to check his AP account if he didn’t get an email yet. “Makeup approval emails have been sent to students who requested a makeup before the May 24 deadline. If you didn’t test in May, you were already placed in the June 1-5 makeup testing window and will be sent another e-ticket two days before your makeup exam. Students received approval for these issues, and similar ones: tech disruptions, sickness; interruptions from family members; battery failures; power outages. If you requested a makeup for an issue like this before the May 24 deadline, and did not receive an email, you can also check My AP for a message that says, “you are registered.””
