Selkie Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Good morning! A chilly morning here - in the 30s and raining hard. Done: fed horses, dogs, cats, dh cleaned Butterscotch's stall started laundry and folded a basketful took a shower went through emails vet appt. - progress check & bandage change for Butterscotch (as soon as he wakes up from the sedative, he is getting let out of his stall - yay!) To do: open yesterday's mail update my calendar office work - bills, etc. fill ice trays Snorri thrush treatment start collecting manure samples to drop off to vet check my supply of heart worm preventative (We weighed the puppies yesterday & Lupo is 44 pounds. I figure he will be in the 50+ lb. category by June, so should check if I need to order more of that size. Tigerlily is 34 lbs. - she makes up for being smaller than her brother with her large-and-in-charge personality.😄) dd has an online violin lesson dinner: salad & veggie bacon sandwiches 4 Quote

Jean in Newcastle Posted May 5, 2020 Author Posted May 5, 2020 fasting bloodsugars logged fed Neko and Juliet fed myself dressed did some charity stuff online medicated myself medicated Juliet did some business texting with ds (have to go to the post office for him later) called vet about the flea situation. Have to pick up flea meds for Neko later. (same time I go to the post office) called another vet about the rabbits since my vet doesn't treat rabbits. They won't prescribe flea meds unless they do an exam on the rabbits first. Sigh. Not sure if I want to put out the money for that or put the rabbits through the stress. logged food and carbs first load (again) of human bedding in the washing machine. Sigh. 4 Quote

Why do we always brand on Mother's Day??? many, many masks to sew, but they're all pinned. many, many phone calls to make, to try to reschedule Scout camp. We actually had a dad step up! I'm still bummed I can't go. When I told a dad from up valley, he was confused. Yeah, I'll be 65 in a month. walk write kids don't have a clue for dinner--spaghetti maybe? need to get mil's ashes buried so we can move her "special" rocks out to the graveyard and OUT of my yard! plan Memorial Day stuff for Scouts--we're acting like we'll be able to do it, but I pointed out to the American Legion guy that we're all too old for "gatherings" have to vacuum--drowning in thread and little fabric pieces from mask making Margaret, did you get the biopsy results for your horse yet? I've been wondering what it turned out to be, since it sounded like the vet thought it was something unusual. 3 Quote

Selkie Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Got some cleaning done this afternoon. I wiped down the kitchen cabinets, dusted, and vacuumed the main floor. Also washed a couple windows and wiped smudges off the walls. Then my dogs tracked mud in all over the place...*Sigh* It's not enough that they walked through the mud, they had to dig a huge hole in it, too. 🤷♀️ Switched laundry. One more load needs to go in the dryer. I made a batch of a healthy version of Snickers bars that I saw on Facebook. Medjool dates sliced open and stuffed with almond butter, chopped peanuts, and cacao nibs, then frozen. They look pretty yummy. 3 Quote
ScoutTN Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 (edited) My a1c is down to 7.5 from 12.4, but still a ways to go. Fasting blood sugar avg is 113. TSH is high, but I have been taking biotin which apparently messes up that test. I see the doc Friday. Tutoring got moved to later this evening. Called mom. She watches too much tv and is beginning to get scared that she may never get out or get to see my kids again. She's 83 and lives in independent senior living place which is locked down tight. She is SO bored! Very poor with tech - can barely work her ipad, so no real help there. Edited May 5, 2020 by ScoutTN 3 Quote
