Good morning!

We're finally in a routine on all my school stuff, DS's school stuff, etc. With only 2 weeks left (of school, no telling how much longer on the work from home stuff), it's about time, LOL!

So, today is Weds, which means:
...DS has his science class Zoom meeting in the morning
...DS has Zoom youth group tonight, during which time the other boys & DH will play video games and I will record the audio for my power points
...during that time I also need to put together a slide show of my kids' photos (class kids, not my sons) to send out on Monday
...during that time/today also start working on their poem book to send out

Normal daily chores are:
...laundry -- there's roughly a load to run, so will do that
...lunch -- sandwiches (DH is in charge)
...dinner -- eggs mixed with the leftover meat from last night's dinner, maybe add in some potatoes/the leftover fries
...dishes -- DH has emptied the dishwasher, will load the dirty dishes while we cook

Therefore, today I get to SEW! DS15 asked why I've not yet made him his own personal mask, so will do that (we have enough for everyone here at the house, but he wants a specific color), and then have a bunch of fun sewing to work on. Not sure exactly what. I've not heard my Joann's order is ready yet, so haven't ordered from the quilt shop, etc, but have plenty of things I *can* do. Just need to pick a project. ❤️

Happy Weds, everyone!

Happy Wednesday!  Here's hoping it's a productive one!

My daily peeve is my internet.  I feel like I spend half of my life rebooting my internet connection.  Should probably look into getting some more bandwidth or whatever they call it, since we are all going to be using it practically nonstop for the foreseeable future.

Done:

  • Went to bed at a reasonable time, yay!
  • Slept well, yay!
  • Took out the garbage.
  • Broke down boxes in the garage to add to the recycle garbage.
  • Washed dishes.
  • Personal tasks to be ready to interact with humans.
  • Cleaned bathroom & bedroom.
  • Woke the kids and got them going - personal tasks, breakfast, vitamins, school start.
  • Fed the bird.
  • Placed 2 Amazon orders.
  • Caught up on calendar, news, emails, electronic school stuff, and social media,
  • Sent a work email and a work text.  Filed some emails.
  • Working on coffee 2.

To do:

  • Lots of client work.
  • Make the kids submit all school work due today, plus at least one assignment due Friday.
  • Pay bills, update credit card info.
  • Kid has psych tele meeting at 4pm.
  • Yoga, TKD practice, walking.
  • A little reading.
  • Laundry?
  • Keep the house decent.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Typed up the poem stanzas I've received thus far. I have 7 out of a hopeful 16. I'll remind them tomorrow in Show & Tell, and take what I can get in these nutty times. The kids are so hilariously adorable. I've promised them a video read-aloud of our compiled poem, and am planning to illustrate each stanza and make it a little keepsake booklet for them for the end of the year.

DS is logging on to his science class now.

I'm going to do the picture compilations for my slide show and then will head up and sew.

Good morning!

Done:

  • fed dogs, cats, horses, dh
  • cleaned a litter box
  • did two loads of laundry - had to rewash some things, since a basket of clean clothes got slept on by a cat last night
  • texted with the farrier
  • took a shower
  • made a grocery list

To do:

  • office work - bills & finances
  • vacuum upstairs - this really needs to happen today. I've been putting it off/forgetting to do it, and it ain't pretty.
  • unpack boxes and disinfect things - I'm supposed to get one of my produce boxes today, plus my tofu order and some other grocery items
  • see if I need to order more fly spray for the horses - bug season is in full swing again
  • declutter kitchen counters & wipe down cabinets
  • dinner: veggie burgers

Started a load of laundry.

Trying to convince DH that we really should donate to this All In challenge for food insecurity. Which has nothing (cough, cough, everything, cough, cough) to do with the fact Hugh Jackman & Ryan Reynolds are teaming up/setting aside their feud and will come to the house of one winner/donator for a 2-hr lemonade stand once this is all over/it's safe to do so.  DH is not convinced for some reason.

Finishing the coffee, and working on the pictures.

@Jean in Newcastle Hooray for good blood sugars!! I am struggling to get mine down another 20-30 points. Bloodwork next week, so maybe my doc wil figure out how?

Forgot or couldn't find a few things at the grocery, so wrote them on the list for next week.

Mailed a card.

Checked in with kids. Ds is doing hw.

Dd is resting. She has some mild lightheadedness or dizzyness, for the third time in a week. Wondering if I should risk an appt with the pediatrician? They'll call first, but probably want to do blood work.

Next up:

prep strawberries

make soup

Went out an hour later to call them up from the pasture and it started pouring buckets, so I got drenched

Opened a few packages

Switched & folded laundry

Listened to voicemails

Switched laundry to the dryer, brought DH down a collection of dryer lint for his new compost bin/pile/thing in the back yard, and put one last load in the wash (half shirts, half jeans). The family won't know what to do, being all caught up!

Made the red mask for DS15 who wanted one "of his own" instead of one of the generic masks I'd made for the family.

Ate lunch, took a nap.

Goofing off/waking up for a bit, then back up to sew.

DS19 is equally enthused about donating to the "win a lemonade stand with RR & HJ" fund for food insecurity, so DH said we can donate a small amount. Ha! Yay!

Yesterday my day turned out differently than I had planned.  We went to pick up my pharmacy meds at the base pharmacy and my dh stopped for gas and the Class6 store there (alcohol sales),  We parked a distance away so I could be in the car and not get over heated but open the window.  An older AA man asked me from a distance if I would like some pepper plants.  I said, I don't eat them but my dh does and how much?   They were free.  So we took the sweet banana peppers and the noheat Jalapenos he had.  I also had bought a basil plant the other day when I was picking up prescription at Publix.  So I had to plant all those plants and that wore me out so we had dinner delivered from a BBQ place and dh colored my hair.  He was a little too enthusiastic about how much to saturate it so it is a little too German red for my taste.  I will be really happy to have my hair stylist blend colors and leave them on properly.

So far today I have had a online Quarantine Book Club session, a cellphone video call with my new Orthopedist (non surgeon) who will help with movement and pain after rules are relaxed.  it was a great visit and I have a followup on May 20th so hopefully non emergency injections will be allowed by then.  I also baked a baguette, put away two bags of laundry, ordered cooking and sewing supplies I needed on Amazon, read through back newspapers, cooked a tasty lunch- cooked spinach salad with bacon, cranberries, carrots, almonds that comes from a Publix kit, and leftover BBQ.

To Do

  • Get JoAnn order
  • Deliver plants and mail to ds and dd2
  • make tasty dinner
  • decide if on phone call with my LT Gov who I don't like and a Rep or watch online or ignore
  • decide if I can watch WH briefing which I always like to do since I get so much good info from the professionals that is not relayed in mass media
  • decide if dh and I will play Trivia with library group (not this week since we also delivered posters, tshirts, and mail to dd1 and dinner took longer)
  • watch Tabula Rosa

We also delivered mail and posters, rubbermaid box of dd1's tshirts that were accidentally given to dd2 a few days ago and also sewing machine parts and box she had left here and flea and tick medicine she had also left here all to dd1.

Gave some soup to a neighbor and visited a bit, from a safe distance. She just lost her mom (not CV) and is sad.
Helped ds with some Scout stuff.
Talked to my mom.

Didn't get time for a walk today and now it's raining. Bah!

Apple pancakes sounds yummy!!!

Okay, I have:
...added the audio to all of the power points
...compiled the photos I have of students into a slide show
...emailed a few people about things
...moved laundry from dryer to a basket, to fold
...moved laundry from washer to dryer, probably ready to be taken out and added to the "to fold" basket
...helped DH and the boys finish the picnic table all the way
...took pics of the garden progress
...come up with a plan for the next quilt project
...DH & DS19 went for their driving lesson, DS15 had youth group online
...DH is now cooking dinner, we shall eat, hang out, fold laundry, etc.

'night, y'all!
