Not sure, I didn't tackle Thur all that well.  I am still a bit sick and trying to get better.

I do hope to at least paint the small bookshelf today.  I have spray paint so it shouldn't take long.

And I would like the kitchen cleaned, whether that is by me or by family members, it needs to get done.

Things that I have to do:

  • Car to get inspected (Dh and I will both go so we can drop off car)
  • Online therapy this afternoon
  • Online doctor's appt this afternoon

It looks like no wind today so we may keep burning the brush we cut (we have a burn barrel)

Good morning!

  • AHG level award paperwork signed, scanned, and sent to the next person
  • School with Dd
  • Fresh Start in YNAB  and paid bills.
  • Order a merit badge booklet and remind Ds to print the worksheets and put them in his notebook.
  • Email about tutoring
  • Have Dd call my mom
  • Walk! Maybe go to the park?
  • Check in with some friends.
  • Yardwork?!

Dinner is burgers on the grill, warm chick pea-tomato-okra salad, chips for kids.

Maybe have a fire in the firepit tonight? No, forecast is now rain moving in around 7.

Chris, I hope you feel better soon; Jean, I hope you make the chiropractor today!

Today is DH's mandatory vacation day (thankfully his company is doing this as actual paid vacation days, not furlough days for the moment...), so he's "off" today. I am done with my school things for Monday except for making videos, which is a Saturday thing. So today I should get to do fun stuff.

So I think it will look like:
...fold the laundry I washed yesterday, put that away
...wash/dry the remaining laundry, fold, put away
...lunch: DH is in charge
...dinner: check the dinner-generator list and see what we have listed, come up with something
...SEW. I am not making masks, at least, not today. I would like to get the rows put together for DS's quilt and then work on quilting that or my niece's quilt or one of a million other quilts I have sitting around waiting to be quilted (I may need to order batting in order to do that, actually....).  I would like to set up my second sewing machine, and have one set up for piecing, and the other for quilting, so that I can work on two things at once w/o having to go back & forth on stuff. I have the table space. Maybe I'll do that today, since I have time.

Oh, also at some point DH has to go out and get screws; they built me a picnic table, but he ran out of screws, so at the moment the boards for the top and the benches are just lying across the supports. LOL!

Anyway, happy Friday!

Oh, shoot. Jen's post reminded me -- DS still has school work to do for Monday, including a project that we've been ignoring. I'll have to help him with that sometime between now and Monday. Drat.

The house is clean and the laundry caught up - what is this madness? 😉

Writing for me with coffee

We are doing school this AM - Barton x 4

Then the girls are painting my dining room ceiling this morning and I am putting primer on my upper cabinet doors! The final two dots came today so I will have intercom capabilities from wherever I am with the Alexa app.  This is huge for me - we have a finished basement and I’m  constantly sending a shortie back and forth!

Good morning!

It's Friday! 🌟

Woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. Very pretty, but it's April 17th and winter needs to GO AWAY!!!

Done:

  • fed & medicated horses, dogs, cats
  • put away Mac's bowls (puppies will use them when they outgrow their small bowls) and his meds (will donate them the next time I'm at the vet)
  • started laundry & folded a basket
  • took a shower
  • made breakfast for dh

To do:

  • office work - bills, email, shredding
  • post office - kids will probably go
  • paddock cleanup - ds21 is doing the skid loader work now
  • laundry - wash kitty blankets
  • unpack produce box & wash everything - and find out the status of my second box (looks like only one box shipped)
  • figure out where to put new freezer - I'd like to have it on the main floor, but don't really have a good spot for it, so it might have to go in the basement
  •  dust main floor
  • dinner: ?? need to poke around in the freezer and see what we have

Watched Jack Ryan. (Season 2 is excessively boring, in case you were wondering......)

Took a nap.

DH calculated our savings, budget, etc. and figured out how long we can afford him not to work, should he end up furloughed (his boss is avoiding the subject; furlough's are supposed to take effect May 1st, so perhaps we won't know until then. :sigh:) and that actually relieved quite a bit of stress.

That stress gone, I have all sorts of creative ideas swimming in my head for quilts, projects, etc. Need to sit down and get some onto paper and figure out where to start with all of that.

We did get a stimulus check; we will hold onto it until we know if DH is furloughed or not. If yes, then it becomes part of the "we can make x months on what's in the bank" fund. If not, then we'll find a (fun?) way to spend it.

Decided on chicken with some fun sauce for dinner and whatever veggies remain in the bin.

Oh, and one more of my K/1st kiddos sent me their stanza for our class alphabet poem -- these kids are so hilariously creative! I need to email parents and remind/beg them to do this, as I promised the kids I'd make a video of "our" poem if they all submit them, but so far I only have 3 of the 14.  I'm also thinking maybe I'll make illustrations and turn it into a book, if I get everyone's submission.

Hi guys!  Happy Friday!

I woke up way early and had a hard time falling back to sleep.  But then I must have, because the next time I looked at the clock it was 11:something.  Yikes!  Good thing I didn't have anything technically due this morning.  That I recall ....

Done:

  • Sleep - lots of it.
  • Shower & hair wash.
  • Working on coffee 2.
  • Caught up on emails, calendar, news, social media, and electronic school stuff.  (They are posting school-at-home grades now - but so far it's all 100% for participation.)
  • A tiny bit of cleaning.

To do:

  • Crank out some client work.
  • Bills / update credit card info for auto purchases.
  • Make the kids do AR tests and clean up their messes.
  • Yoga, TKD practice, walking?  Not sure since it's been snowing continuously.
  • TKD online class with the kids?
  • Laundry - I promised to turn around my kids' favorite jammies by tonight if they'd let me, LOL.
  • Friday means we'll have restaurant take-out.
  • It also means we'll all watch something on the boob toob.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Finished my most pressing office work. Will do more later this afternoon.

One of the kids took the mail for me.

Ordered water softener salt from the feed store - they will deliver it.

Filled ice cube trays.

Having a very delicious lunch - chickpea harissa tahini stew and a cacao almond smoothie.

Next up: Scoop the front yard, clean stalls, switch laundry, and then back to my paperwork pile.

Chiropractor:  they are screening with temperature checks.  There was visible extra cleaning going on.  Staff was masked, though the chiropractor himself kept removing his mask, which drove me a bit crazy.  (I was masked so still protected.)  But the biggest news.  They found out just today that they can no longer treat anyone who is not an emergent case or who is a first responder.  Which means that it was really really good that I got in today!

Ate lunch. Took another nap (apparently "has the day off" means The Reader catches up on needed restful sleep). Dreamed we were back in our favorite Brazil house (only it was much fancier than its real life version). We had *just* moved back there (in the dream) and were going around unpacking things we'd left behind and rediscovering the house. I was thinking "I should do a FB LIve video, b/c a lot of people we're friends with now, weren't friends with us then, and haven't really seen pics of this house...."  Strange.

Got up, got a snack.

Folded laundry; put away the folded stuff (still need to hang up the hanging stuff).

Really truly heading up to sew now, I think. DH just got up from a nap, also, so maybe not; maybe find something to watch together on TV....? It's "about to rain" outside, so no yard chores for him.

Switched the laundry and folded another basket

Did kitty chores - washed bowls & cleaned box

Scooped front yard

Bleached packages

Cleaned stalls & filled water tank

Ds21 and I went out looking for antlers. Didn't find any, but we had a great walk in the woods.

Sat outside with DH before the rain started.

Switched laundry from washer to dryer, and put the final basket of sheets/blanket into the wash.

Sewed all the rows together on DS22's quilt top that I started while he was in the hospital; it is now done just awaiting batting (the middle layer) so that I can quilt it. I will need to order batting online for pick-up.

Started dinner -- the chicken breasts are the "cook from frozen" ones so I had to remember to come down, get those going, and then will cook the rest later.

Looking up a poem for a piece of one of the ideas flitting around my head, and then going upstairs to sew/play in the sewing room until the timer goes off to come do the rest of dinner.

Discovered that my japanese maple has some sort of disease. Ack! It was fine two days ago and now the leacves are discolored and drying out.
Need Dh to go to Lowe's tomorrow for fungicide.
Dinner is made and Dd is cleaning up.
Visited with some neighbors, outside, from a distance. One neighbor, a widow, lost her mom last night. Not CV - just died in her sleep. Sad for my neighbor, who is all alone now.

Discouraged and weepy again tonight. Not sure why.

Next up:
Shower, then read.
