TheReader Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Good morning! So far, I have: ....had coffee ...got DS on his class on time ....uploaded & posted & emailed parents all the work for the week for my 2 classes ...called DS22's doc to make an appt, had to leave a voice mail So now I still need to: ....nap (migraine sleepy phase) ...finish up a few masks (pleat, add ties) & deliver to a friend in town ...make the power points for next week ...fold all the laundry that was done over the weekend (3 loads waiting....) ...dinner: leftover pasta salad, bake some chicken to go with? ...anything else that gets done ...OH, ha, remember to scan in DS's homework and email his teacher (the single most frustrating part of having online school) Heading for the nap first, and hoping that early migraine doesn't mean the other hormonal joys will show up early as well....there should be a week to go yet for that, thankyouverymuch. 5 Quote
SKL Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Howdy, happy Monday! It's raining here ... again. I know "April Showers," but this seems like a lot of rain even for April. At least the temperature and breeze are pleasant. The kids are still asleep, hung over from binge watching a C-drama into the wee hours. They have spring break this week, yay! Wish I did! Done: Screens for fun & news in the wee hours. Slept quite late. Personal tasks to be ready for the day. A little cleaning in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Amazon order stuff. Caught up on emails, news, calendar, social media. A little reading. About halfway through coffee 2. To do: Plan what can be planned for the day & week. Client work - need to prioritize and knock things off in a way that keeps clients happy. Kids' AHG badge work, AR reading/tests, TKD online classes, organizing their rooms, whatever else can get done. Extend the tax returns that I prepare each year. Make the kids keep the common house areas clean, do some AHG badge work, clean in their rooms, practice music & TKD forms. Yoga, TKD practice, walking, whatever other exercise gets done. More reading. Might do a load of laundry just to keep ahead of things. Might do some work in the garage - consolidate the garbage (break down boxes etc) and make space for other things to be moved in there. Would like to start a new read-aloud. Whatever else gets done. 5 Quote
appyonthebeach Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 My ds is on spring break this week so my previous usual schedule is a bit off. ~laundry - sheets and a load of clothes ~vacuum ~mop kitchen ~sit down with ds and have a quiet reading time ~make banana bread ~it's raining today so I'll have to jump on the rebounder for exercise today 5 Quote

Selkie Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 The wind is unpleasant today. One of my horses was standing next to me while I worked and tossed his head at a wind gust and cracked me right in the cheekbone. Ouch. Not his fault, just one of those things. I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a bruise, because then I will be quite a sight! So far, it is just bright red. Stalls are clean and manure is shoveled. Ds21 made some fence repairs. I texted the hay guys and switched the laundry. Next up: Get a bank deposit together, figure out Chewy order, feed horses, and make dinner. 5 Quote
TheReader Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Slept for a LONG time before/after lunch. Feel somewhat more human, but feel headache creeping back (:sigh:) so going to try and get power points done before heading back to bed. I was really hoping for a shorter migraine this month. Waah. While I was sleeping, though, the doc called back and DH scheduled the appt. so that's done at least. Whew. I may have to tell my friend the masks have to wait until tomorrow. 5 Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted April 13, 2020 Author Posted April 13, 2020 Wondering if dh is now getting what I had . . . cleaned the cat's bathroom (aka the Bathroom of Doom which is off of the Schoolroom of Doom). Lots of Doom down in that basement! took out recycling. took out garbage. dealt with bins broke down two cardboard boxes that held litter - those are so hard to break down! did a bit of Duolingo filed a couple of paid bills shredded the records from Libby the Disabled Wonder Dog - even though she died over a year ago, this was sad. 3 2 Quote

TheReader Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 ((hugs, Jean)) I finished one of the power points. Realized I need to grab a book and pick out experiments for science, as both groups are now done with science. This week I won't, because we have a few Earth Day activities that will suffice this week. But for next week and the week after. DH volunteered to cook dinner, so that's good. 4 Quote

Jean in Newcastle Posted April 14, 2020 Author Posted April 14, 2020 bloodsugar tested mid-afternoon. Beautiful number again. (I wish that I could guarantee that they stayed this way. . . O) took an hour long "hike" with Juliet on some of the small local trails. Didn't meet many people but when I did, I was glad that I was masked. Now I am sweating buckets and am dead on my feet! 3 Quote
ScoutTN Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Glad your sugars are spot on, Jean! Can you feel the difference if they are off by 20 or so? Reader, did your headache go away? I took another walk, this time with the dog. Nice to be out in the cool air with the sun going down. Faint smells of flowering trees on the air. Took out compost and recycling. Got the sidewalk chalk and frisbee out of my car for dd and ds, respectively. Next up: Read! And maybe a cup of peach tea. Today was a good day. 2 Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted April 14, 2020 Author Posted April 14, 2020 Scout, now I can usually feel if they are off. When I was first diagnosed I couldn’t because my body had gotten used to the high sugars. tested again- good numbers again. had leftovers for dinner. 1 1 Quote
