ScoutTN Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 (edited) Alleluia! Christ is risen! The sun peeped out a minue ago, but I think it will rain and storm here today. I've put the casserole in the oven, tested my blood sugar, and put out the kids' baskets. Next up: Coffee and some music We will worship in Zoom with church friends at 10. Nice dinner mid-afternoon. Thanks for the Messiah link, Margaret. I will enjoy that later today! Edited April 12, 2020 by ScoutTN 6 Quote
MysteryJen Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Good morning! We are going to listen to Messiah today as well- it is nice to see so many people with the same idea! I set out the Easter candy- we don't do baskets anymore and we are having a brunch later. It snowed about 3-4 inches- so a white Easter, I guess. Nothing else, except talking to the kids and grandmothers later. Have a great day! 6 Quote

SKL Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Happy Easter! It's a beautiful day! I was the first up today. Yay! Got myself ready for human interaction. Assembled & hid Easter baskets / eggs. Coffee 1. Processed the laundry from the dryer. Scrubbed my kids' tub and unclogged the drain. Caught up on emails, calendar, social media, & news. To do: Breakfast and stuff. Some work when I feel like it. Long walk, hopefully in the national park. Watch church service with the kids. Some nice dinner if we can get someone to deliver. May watch a movie. Whatever else gets done. 6 Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted April 12, 2020 Author Posted April 12, 2020 He is Risen Indeed! Forgot to take my fasting bloodsugar. Showered, dressed. Fed Neko and Juliet. Tried to help dh set up the online church meeting. Logged out. (He was busy figuring some stuff out with the worship leader and I was hungry.) Fed myself. Medicated myself. Medicated Juliet Now to log back into the meeting - or pre-meeting setup since actual church doesn't start for another half hour. 5 Quote

ScoutTN Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Worship was excellent, despite the limitations of cyberspace. We also had quite a bit of visiting time, just conversation. Fun to seea new baby, pets, talk about books, movies, and food. Ham is in the oven. Hashbrown casserole is out of the fridge. Next up: more coffee and time to read. 4 Quote

ScoutTN Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Watched American Idol with my family. Got the last load of laundry out and saved the dryer lint for a fire starter. Finished reading a novel this afternoon and still absorbed in it. Not ready to jump into another world yet. Kwim? I may rewatch our pastor's homily from this morning. 2 Quote
