BlsdMama Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 With everyone home all day long, we were forced to come up with a menu and assigned nights. I've always liked having a bunch of kids around, but maybe never so much as now. There is always someone to play with and someone is singing. So, we decided we'd rotate the evening meal and assign littles as helpers. This means each older person only cooks ONE night each week. The rule is the chef chooses the music and the chef doesn't do any dishes. I can't tell you how well this has worked. It's so nice to have the weight of a big evening meal evenly distributed AND the chef feels great because they pick their full meal, they get their music, and they are appreciated by not needing to do any dishes. If you have teens at home, I'd strongly encourage it! Everyone has very much enjoyed the rotation! 11 Quote
Ottakee Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 That is an awesome idea....as well as a great way to teach them cooking skills. Quote
Soror Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 My older 3 have had a night to cook for awhile now, I love it. Quote
