Scarlett Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 A few nights ago while I was loading the dishwasher I gave my puppy half of a corn cob, fully intending to take it from her in a minute. When I turned around she had completely devoured every bite of it. I could not believe it. I did not give it much thought until the next day when my husband told me she vomited violently. Corn cob chunks. But he did not think she vomited all of it up. She didn't keep vomiting, and she kept eating, but she didn't poop last night or this morning. I called my friend who works for the vet and she told me to bring her in for a barium XRay and it would likely involve surgery to remove. I was about to burst into tears at my job. Just then I got a text from dh that said, 'I can't believe I am taking pictures of dog poop', but there it was! I was never so happy to see a picture of dog poop in my life. I now know corn cobs are notorious for doing major damage to dogs. I have learned my lesson. 1 2 Quote
