Weird internet algorithms

Mail.com thinks I can read Spanish. It started with one article on the homepage on Spanish & now it is up to three in a row. [Ok, so I technically can sorta understand what the headlines & articles say, but Why? Just Why?!]

Google thinks my browsing & search habits are akin to those of a 65 yr old male.

When we started getting weird stuff showing up (baby related stuff when no one here was looking at it), it turned out to be Comcast turning on our free wi-fi hotspot remotely each night. My DH had to go in each morning to turn it off.

DH and I share a Pandora account, so for a while he was getting ads on "his" channel for dating sites featuring men.

But internet, but I had to correct a problem on dd's birth certificate when she was a few years old and that seemed to "reset" us with all the snail mail baby advertisers.
