mommyoffive Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 When this is over, what are the first things you want to do? When life resumes back to normal with schools, businesses, lessons, and work all back open what do you want to do first? 1 Quote
athena1277 Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Go to church. Eat in a restaurant. Go shopping, even if I don’t buy anything. Go to the library. 8 Quote
Pawz4me Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Sit down and be waited on in a restaurant (and leaving the waiter/waitress a very generous tip). Go to the grocery store, take my time shopping and enjoy taking my pick from the FULL shelves. Buy a small freezer and fill it with some of ^^those^^ groceries. 6 Quote
prairiewindmomma Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Get a haircut. I have essentially been out of society since mid-December as I fell quite ill, then ds needed surgery, then I needed surgery, and then the whole dang world fell apart. 4 Quote

Slache Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Buy a car. We have a 5 seater car and I'm having our 4th baby (oops!) in September. I don't think it's still legal to strap the older ones on the roof. 7 Quote
I talk to the trees Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Obedience classes! (For the dog, not me, if any of you are wondering!) I am trying to work with the puppy every day, but the thing she needs the most work on is polite behavior around others, and that can be a wee bit difficult to work on WITHOUT OTHER PEOPLE AND DOGS! 🙄 2 Quote
SounderChick Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Moms night out a restaurant with food and friends and no kids. Get a tattoo!! 3 Quote

stephanier.1765 Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 If this goes on long enough and it looks that it might, I will miss the birth of my grandson. So meeting him will be top priority. Before his birth I had planned a visit to my granddaughter so that we could, for one last time, have one on one time together. That visit will almost certainly be cancelled. 6 Quote
*Jessica* Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Throw my grandfather a 90th birthday party! 3 Quote

mlktwins Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Go to the grocery store where I can buy what I want to buy with no worry about whether I can get pasta, milk, or tp. Take my dad out to do all the things I didn't use to enjoy doing with him (grocery shopping, banking, hair cuts, doctor appts). I will not take that for granted again. Get my boys back to normal classes and swimming. 2 Quote

Violet Crown Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 (edited) Bring the girls to visit their cousins and grandparents: 20 minutes drive from here, and they might as well be on the moon. Go to Mass and light a candle for the repose of the souls of those who succumbed to this awful sickness. Go to Torchy's and eat a pile of brisket tacos. (Please imagine being a normal Texan quarantined with a bunch of vegetarians.) ETA: BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR. The main cabinet is set to maximum cold so half the food won't spoil; so instead half of it is frozen solid. And twice a day I wipe up the condensation from the ceiling of it as it drips down onto the food. This fridge was a cheap little box 20 years ago and it is not covering itself with glory in these quarantine days. Edited March 23, 2020 by Violet Crown 4 Quote

Storygirl Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Visit my mother in her nursing home. There is a long list of other things that I would like to do, but that is at the top. Nursing homes are scary right now, and if she is alive when this is over, I will be praising God. DH and I will also want to see our other family members, especially his parents and my dad, who are in their 80s. 6 Quote
regentrude Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Oh, forgot, since that will only work if this ends early enough so it's safe to fly in July: go see my parents in Germany. If I can't go then, it'll have to wait a year. 1 Quote

ScoutTN Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Go to church! I want to worship with my church family, and hear the organ and 1000 voices strong singing glory to our God. See my mom and give her a hug! Have my kids go to summer camp. Not that I want to get rid of them, but that they have their hearts set on going and have already had so much snatched away from them. 1 Quote

DawnM Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 I will be heading to Disney World as soon as it opens back up (or after school lets out) as my son will be working there as an intern. I can't wait! 3 Quote
pitterpatter Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Take a cruise. 🤣 DH really wanted to take one this year. I actually looked at them weeks before the Diamond Princess started her ordeal for the week of March 8th. We're really glad it didn't work out now. They weren't canceling cruises then. I don't see a cruise in our future for quite a while. I really hope travel can get back to normal at some point. This was supposed to be our year of travel. We have a ton of Amtrak points. We were going to ride to Washington D.C. early fall. DD is studying American history this year. We bought these little underseater rolling bags at Christmas so we could take advantage of Frontier's super cheap flights to Denver too. Ah, well. Honestly, I just hope that DH makes it through the next several months. 😟 I want to be able to go out (anywhere) and not have to worry about DH catching it. 2 Quote
