For the past seventeen and a half years I've been teaching my dc at home, and I've always kept straight what day it was because I needed to know where we were going each day.  Now, we aren't going anywhere, and I'm not sure of the day!  It's disconcerting.  Is anyone else having this trouble?

I work full time, M-F, and I am having that same feeling.  I have nowhere to go, but I am supposed to be working some.

Monday we had a staff meeting, principal told us to pack up like we weren't coming back anytime soon, and leave.

Monday night the board decided the entire week would be pupil free days and all staff had to report to work all week.

Tuesday we went in, lugged some of our stuff back in to work to do it, and worked for a few hours.

Tuesday night, the board met again and changed their minds and told us all to work from home.

It has been a roller coaster of a week!

I haven't done a lot of work since.  Just trying to get myself oriented to working from home, and haven't figured out the desk situation yet.

I guess today is Friday?  So, that would be a work day.  Guess I need to do something! 🤪

Yes. My kids are adults now, so it's not because of not going out to daily, scheduled activities. It's from being thrown totally off kilter. There is no normal, there's a fire hose of news to keep up with, etc.

Actually, I have had this trouble for many years.

Me (lying in comfy bed): Where are you going?

DH (hauling himself out of bed on a non workday): To put the trash out. It's Tuesday.

Me: "Oh."

-----

Dd#2: "I'm leaving."

Me (working on math with DS#2, confused): "What? Where are you going?"

Dd#2: "um, It's Thursday, Mom. I'm going to art."

Me: "Oh."

------

Dd#2: "Are you driving me?"

Me (reading on the couch): "Huh? Where?"

Dd#2 (sighing): "Gymnastics."

Me: "Um, sure. Let me get ready."

---- (etc.)

So, yeah, less outside activities, but still the same ditsy Mom. Is it Friday  (no meat day) or Saturday  (no school) or Monday (different school schedule than Tues-Fri)? I still have no clue most of the time. Welcome to my reality.

Well, my children have made sure I'm aware that today is release day for the new Animal Crossing game. 😄

But yes, the days are very much blurring together. I'm like, okay, today is Friday so tomorrow is the weekend, and normally that idea brings thoughts of refreshment. Not so much right now.

Yes. DD's college classes are now asynchronous, and I'm insisting that she log in and spend the time she would have spent in class working on them, because it is so easy for me to forget what day it is, and I can easily see completely missing logging in for...oh, a week or two....

My kid’s in person community college class switched to online so I have my phone reminding me about the days of the week.

Yesterday was the first day of Spring. So we will have two weeks of winter like transition weather here.

Same here. The only thing keeping me on track is that DS22 now has a pill box that we fill, and 3x/week group therapy appointments that have yet to be cancelled. And DH is keeping up with trash day. Otherwise, I'm so clueless.

All of our outside things are closed/stopped. DH is working from home. Our co-op (where I teach a K and a 1st class, and DS15 attends classes) is closed. DS15's fencing club had to close for now. Church is cancelled. Everything is on hold.

It's surreal.
