Jean in Newcastle Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 Dd has asked me to look for lower cost auto insurance for her. Right now she's on our policy which enjoys the discounts we have for bundling home and auto etc. but even the person I talked to at our insurance said that we might be able to get better prices if she gets her own with a lower quality insurance company. So is Geico worth it? Actually cheaper? What other companies are there in the same range? Quote

I think there may be online calculators where you can put in her specifics and get a sense of what the price would be, then compare to what the current cost is 1 Quote
TheReader Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 We have and love Geico, but we've got all our policies with them, have had them for decades, and they were able to move us to a premier plan of some sort when we added our oldest. We've been getting info from them on him being able to now gain his own policy but with our ratings or something; we've not yet done that yet as he's not working at the moment, but we should call to find out which way costs less overall. If they are cheaper in your area, they truly are a good company. We've had a few claims over the years, always handled very well. 1 Quote
klmama Posted March 5, 2020 Posted March 5, 2020 Two of our dc are still on our insurance - Liberty Mutual - but the oldest has a policy with Progressive that was cheaper for a single person. 1 Quote
