How do you clean your smartphone?

I keep disinfectant wipes in my purse and in the past have used one of those to clean my phone. Not sure if there is a better idea though. Apparently Apple says you should clean with a microfiber cloth only, which obviously doesn’t disinfect. Any suggestions?

I wipe mine with an alcohol wipe. Been doing it for years. This hasn’t doing anything to my phone.

I use disinfecting wipes on my iPhone, but it's in a case with a screen protector.

I use eyeglasses wipes. I usually clean my glasses first then my phone so the wipe isn't wet enough to drip.

I’ve only ever actually cleaned it once. I used a wet wipe, which made my screen protector streaky. Usually I just use my t shirt or whatever if it’s smudgy from hand lotion or something.

For those of you who use alcohol wipes -- how many do you use? I feel that in order to have an effect I'd need to use at least four. The ones I have are supplied by my specialty pharmacy along with a medication I take, but the ones I've seen in drug stores look to be about the same tiny size. Using one seems worthless to me.

I agree.  4-6, depending on how gross/grimy it seems.  And I let the alcohol evaporate off the surface.

I have a screen protector on front and a case on back, so there are some exposed areas, but not a lot. 

I have used H2O2 and soft cloth to wipe, avoiding the areas that have openings like where cord goes in

eta: well, same kind of. 🙂 I use a cotton ball with alcohol.

I actually prefer to use isopropyl alcohol on a cotton ball because then I can control how much alcohol is getting onto my phone. The little wipes are too wet to me. Now, I’m not doing this multiple times a day outside my home, so the cotton ball method works fine for my purposes.

It varies greatly by brand. We would get them from my daughter's infusion company and we use them in the pharmacy. Some wipe brands are almost dry and some are dripping wet. We like a brand that has pink and white packaging (can't remember brand). They are very wet and 1 or 2 wipes is sufficient for a phone.

I use a clorox bleach wipe on mine frequently. I do have a case and screen protector on it though.

This is what I do too, and my phone is fine. (It is in an Otterbox with a glass screen protector, so I’m actually cleaning the case/screen protector).
