Good morning! dd2 had early practice and dh and ds3 went skiing. dd2 will be off of school today (a late start, combined with state tests for 9th and 10th graders), so we will go pick up the prom dress.

  • coffee/paper
  • call to excuse dd2 when she gets home (the school requested all seniors get excused)
  • daily/weekly chores
  • pick up prom dress
  • not sure what else needs to be done with dd2
  • ds3 will go directly to tennis
  • pick up ds3
  • leftovers or dh in charge of dinner

Have a great day!

Good morning!

Sunshiny beautiful morning here. The snow we got last night is already melting. Dh left before dawn for the trade show. He took hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes with him and said he is going to try his best not to get breathed, coughed, or sneezed on.😀

  • office work - bills
  • maybe run to post office
  • shovel more manure - can't wait for the thick layer of ice and snow to melt so I can do a proper spring cleanup
  • groom horses
  • vacuum
  • clean upstairs bathrooms
  • laundry - hang the load of towels that just got done and wash dog bed covers
  • roast beets, parsnips, & mushrooms
  • dinner: leftovers

Leah, praying you can rest and the baby will be home soon!

TravelingChris, I have to ask...is the Poker and Apocrypha a bible study with a game time thrown in? As a game lover, I could be really cool with that.

I dropped ds off at his temp job. It's kind of weird to be back home taking care of things without him here. I've taken care of some co-op business, and I need to get on with the day.

  • laundry
  • pay bills
  • pick ds up for lunch when I hear from him
  • work on finalizing co-op class
  • errands out after lunch (raining all day here. uggh!)
  • look over ds' school work and what can be modified for him to do this job these 2.5 weeks
  • church

Yes. And I am the only woman there.  But I like playing poker= though I really prefer 5 card stud rather than Texas Hold Em, which is what we play.  Well, kind of a Bible Study-- a reliegious study anyway.  We are Presbyterians so the Apocrypha is not part of the Bible for us, but we can still read it, etc.  In a prior time, long ago, when this class was held, we did reading from the early Church fathers and obviously we discuss them coming from a reformed perspective.  But we not only play Poker, we have cookies too so this is happy time for me.

Howdy peeps.  Happy Wednesday!

Really struggling with my computer today.  I need to switch for real today.  After I get some reports done though!

Also I need to do some planning to accomplish some multi-day projects.

Done:

  • Slept fitfully all night.  Dreamed I got back together with the worst ex ever.  😛  Help!
  • Made breakfast, put $20 in trumpet case for lesson, reviewed homework and helped with corrections.
  • Kids off to the school bus "on time" - bus was a tad early but left at 8:02 right on schedule so ....
  • Took out the garbage.  Did a bit of "purging" from my kids' junk bins as part of garbage collection.
  • Cleaned the kitchen, washed dishes.  Scrubbed one of the kitchen garbage bins.
  • Fed the bird.
  • Caught up on emails, news, social media, calendar, and electronic school stuff.
  • Sent a few work emails.
  • Renewed library book.
  • Working on coffee 2.

To do:

  • Prioritize and crank out client work.
  • Conference call (at least 1).
  • A little reading and exercise.
  • Switch out computer.
  • Kids have horse riding / trumpet lesson.  Driver will drive them.
  • Figure out how to get my kids to do their scout badge work.  They refused yesterday and I was so put out.  We're getting close to the deadline.
  • Some kind of dinner.  We don't have much to cook since I haven't been to the grocery store & nobody else buys what I cook.  Maybe we'll just do Chipotle....
  • Some laundry so kids will have gym clothes for tomorrow.
  • Bin decluttering.  There are bins and piles of crap in the hall, from when we had to clear everything out 2 weekends ago.  I vowed I would have it all cleared before the maids returned (this Friday).
  • Help kids with homework etc.  Make them do some cleaning in their rooms/bathroom.  Make them shower / wash hair at a reasonable hour.
  • Whatever else gets done.

TravelingChris, that's really cool. I need to think about this game/bible study combo...

Scout, I'm sorry you're having a rough day of it.

Walked with a friend at a local church gym

Started dishwasher

Sorted through email

Printed out a pile of bills that I need to go through

Remembered that I am running low on Dasuquin for one of my dogs, so ordered that. My vet has an online pharmacy now and it is so handy. Everything gets shipped right to your house.

Ugh ... I'm trying to figure out how to contact my kid's aftercare to give her permission to go to her trumpet lesson down the street.  They don't have a phone number anywhere.  There is no answer at the school's phone number.  (Used to be able to press 1 for late room; no longer.)  So once my Kid2 got home on the bus, she texted one of her friends in aftercare to ask for a number.  The aftercare lady said she will text me.  How do they not have a phone number to reach aftercare?

And just to type all that out was such a pain with now about 1/4 of my keys not working right.  But I still have reports to do before I can drop everything and switch computers ....

OK it's past 6pm so I will start my computer file transfer ... again!!

I went online to download some bank statements to start some reports ... the bank account is gone!  All the past reports that were supposed to be saved to my "inbox" - gone!  Buttheads.  So I sent an email requesting the bank to send me the info.  Hopefully it comes soon.

Dusted & vacuumed the main floor & steps.

Last load of laundry is in the dryer.

Gave the cabinet under the kitchen sink a good cleaning. It was grungy under there.

Dh is home and brought Jimmy John's for dinner.

Headed out to feed horses now.

Still waiting for the first batch of files to download from my old computer so I can upload them onto the newer one.

Went and got carry-out at Chipotle.

Feeling annoyed with my kid again.  And with myself.  She managed to drag out a very small amount of homework past 10pm and now has to take a shower/hairwash, which will take at least an hour with her OCD stuff.  The other kid similarly fooled around.  Nobody gathered the laundry they expect to find laundered overnight.  Nobody has any time to spend on AHG.  Nobody cleaned for the mads.  Ugh!  I should have chased them more, but I have this pesky job.  😕

I survived all of the things and got everything done.

The doctor visit with DS22 was *really really really* good. First doc in a very long time who saw *on her own* that the meds are what is dulling him/making him flat/not letting him be himself. I have been shouting that since he first started meds. His old doc never listened (and thus, he took himself off of them, and thus, the recent crisis). So we have an actual PLAN to decrease things until he has ONE medicine.  But a conservative, "if we see he needs more support, we will put things back, but...." plan. I am so happy. HE is so happy. This is good.

All in all, a busy, but good day. Now going to veg on the couch for a few mins and go to bed.
