Who’s going to tackle Monday with me?

Howdy.  Happy Monday!  (Trying to get excited....)

I just slept a few hours last night because I have a lot of work.  I was too tired to stay up and power through.

I am still feeling the effects of my weekend of almost continuous housework, including a lot of carrying.  Joints are stiff and skin is raw.  I feel good about having got a bunch of work accomplished (still much more to do), but I am bothered by the fact that something my daughter cares about has gone missing.  I don't know if it got thrown out or is buried in some unlikely bin (there are many bins still full of her sister's junk).  I can't stop thinking about it.  I think I will dump the garbage outside and see if it is in there.

My kids have tests every day this week, yay.  Plus my eldest has a doc appointment today with a psychiatrist - hoping this is the first step to solving various issues both short and long term.

Done:

  • 1 coffee.
  • Caught up on news, emails, social media, calendar, electronic school stuff.

To do:

  • Yoga.
  • More coffee.
  • Lots of client work before kids get up in 3 hours.
    • Accounting reports for at least 9 entities (promised "over the weekend").
    • Invoices for at least 4 entities.
    • Projected cash reconciliation for an exit (promised "over the weekend").
  • Review kids' math and spelling homework.
  • Write note for kid to be excused at noon for doctor visit.
  • Sign permission slips for bowling??
  • Kids up & off to school bus.
  • More client work.
  • More exercise.
  • A little reading.
  • 2 loads of laundry.
  • Prepare for the 1pm doc visit.
  • Pick up kid.
  • Discuss doc visit & go to the doc.
  • Hopefully get kid to do some AHG badge work.
  • Kids practice instruments, do homework, prepare for tomorrow's religion test.
  • Do some more work on organizing kids' rooms.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Beyond the very good swimming (one best ever time, and the rest coming very close to her best pre-injury times), the weekend was a wash. dd2 is sick today from the petri dish of the meet- I just checked on her- she has been sleeping for 14 hours. So no school and no practice today.

I am going to try to get everything together today.

  • coffee/paper
  • call to excuse dd2
  • electronic chores
  • update calendar
  • ds3 needs to reschedule his PT
  • look at flights for trip with dd2 in April
  • school with ds3
  • chores and getting the house sorted after a weekend of being ignored
  • some handwork probably
  • hang out with kids- ds3's tennis team is off this week
  • not sure what will be for dinner- something filling for the kids- chicken pot pie?

Have a great day!

Jen, sorry for the sickness but congrats on the times!

I’m in Kentucky with my sisters because my younger sister was having a difficult time with some issues. She is the one who deals with depression following the loss of her husband and only son.

Would you please pray for my dd? She takes the NCLEX this afternoon. She’s nervous since it’s so far past graduation, but she was one of the last from her cohort who was contacted you take it.

  • Work
  • After school meeting
  • Finish the open box in the attic (toss, put away, get rid of the box)

Did not get to the box in the attic, had a few kitchen things to do, took a kid somewhere (taxi service), listened to a webinar for National Boards, and looked at National Boards stuff......

So glad you are all okay, questionlover!

Trip is mostly planned- will buy tickets tonight

dd2 finally woke up and is feeling better than last night- so that is good. Nothing a solid 17 hours of sleep can't do for a 17 year old.

calendar updated

some school with ds3

laundry- on going

dishwasher running

Next up:

general pick up

read a little

Yikes, Questionlover! Glad you are safe! Any clue how the fire started? I hope your insurance process and payout go smoothly.

Amy, praying for your sister and your dd's exam.

SKL, I hope the psych appt. goes well!

Jean, do NOT forget your chiro appt!

Life has been pretty normal today, considering we are living in a hotel. Dh is at work, Ds is at school, Dd is online in Latin class and I am having a cup of tea and catching my breath. Our piano teacher sent us a lovely flower arrangement this morning which brightens up the decor and is cheery on a cold, rainy day.

Done:
carpool, meeting, lunch, call mom, make grocery list, figure out how to print from the hotel computers, tutorial paperwork, call housekeeping for trash bags

To do:
Tutoring prep, tutor 2 students, dinner for me, AHG things, help Dd with printing for her hw assignment, pack lunches, read and relax

One student was a no show tonight, but I get paid anyway. Had a so-so dinner of the hotel's social hour snacks. Now showered and in jammies.

I found a laundromat near ds' school where I can wash all the bed linens that I didn't have time to wash yesterday. Way faster than the small hotel laundry room and less hauling.

Still to do:

AHG things  Too tired!

Check Ds' hw list

Pack lunches

Read (or watch tv?! Gasp!! We never do that!! Nix that, nothing worth watching is on, even with a zillion channels.)

Thanks for the prayers! Dd hopes to find out the results in a couple of days.

Jean, do you think you should tell your doctor about that happening?

Questionlover, I’m so sorry that happened but thankful you all are okay!

Margaret, I pray you get home safely tomorrow!

My older sister and I head back to Georgia in the morning. I think this has been good for my younger sister, but life is a struggle for her now.
