ScoutTN Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) Good morning! It's cold and sparkly here. I am thankful for two sunny days in a row! I forgot to take my Mag/Cal/Zi supplement last night and the leg cramps were back. Won't make that mistake again! I ate half a grapefruit and then remembered about testing my fasting blood sugar. This diabetic stuff is going to take a while to become routine and automatic! Restful day here: a little housework ✅ figure out dinner ✅ take a walk listen to a podcast ✅ maybe watch some college bball? sort and tag some clothes for consignment nap ✅ call mom done ✅ church prep ✅ Edited February 16, 2020 by ScoutTN 4 Quote
MysteryJen Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Good morning! Not too much is going on today- ds3 has tennis, dh has a concert, not sure what dd2 has planned. leahtalbot96 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 We are off to a party in a bit. In the midst of lesson planning for next school year. Can anyone recommend a children's Bible curriculum or not? I am at a loss for ideas. We had a funny amusing talk about moving to the Caribbean earlier, as storm Dennis has struck on the heels of Storm Ciara over here.. but it would not be possible. I would have to enter a quiz show or enter a competition organised by a radio station where you win a lot of money without much effort. 7 Quote

readinmom Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Morning, all! It's been a rough week for me. It was my sister's birthday and I just miss her so much. Sigh... There is something wrong with my ankle that I've had problems with in the past, and I have a college trip with my class coming up that requires extreme walking. I tried a new book project for Valentine's Day that was a huge success, so ended the week on a bright note. To do: coffee, shower, dress take my mom on some errands, lunch mail packages, some birthday cards library for returns, check out pick up a few essentials for a quiche for dinner lesson plan laundry catch up on Outlander for the new season read, relax Have a great day! 5 Quote

Storygirl Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) DH has a longer list than I do today, because I have a headache with dizziness that will keep me from driving. So he picked up DS14 at 11:00 from garage band practice. Then he took DS14 to guitar lesson at 1:00. DS15 tagged along, because DH has to take both boys to church band practice from 2-3:30 (lots of band for DS14 today!!). After he drops the boys off, he will do a grocery run for me -- just a few things for tonight and tomorrow -- bring the groceries home, then go back to get the boys from church, which is 25 minutes away from our house. Then he promised DS15 he would take him for a haircut. So far I have:✔️Put away a little laundry✔️Helped DD18 register to vote online✔️Washed a big pile of dishes✔️Planned the next few meals and made grocery list for DH To do: Make a phone call or two that I didn't get to yesterday Put away the rest of my laundry✔️Pull all games out of our game cupboard✔️Clear off a bookshelf that I want to move the games to✔️Make some room on another bookshelf for the things that I am moving off of the first bookshelf We have too many games now to fit in our game cabinet, and I think it will work better to have them on the bookshelf -- more room, plus we will be able to see what we have more easily. The cabinet that we've been using for games (the bottom part of a built-in bookshelf) is in our family room, and I'm going to leave it empty for now. Next month, we are having new cabinets put in our kitchen, and I'm going to use the former game cabinet to temporarily store dishes and other kitchen ware, while my kitchen is out of commission. I haven’t use it but it did look interesting. Our church body’s publishing house, CPH, also may be worth a look. It is LCMS, Lutheran Church, MO Synod. 5 Quote

Selkie Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Today has been a good day. Ds21 came home and has been working on his truck all afternoon. Swept the basement & vacuumed the main floor. Dh mopped. Did a couple loads of laundry. Washed & cut up fruits & veggies. Did horse chores & fence repairs. Worked with puppies. Placed an Amazon order. Placed a Chewy order (something I forgot to add to my autoship - second time in a row I've forgotten something...). Other odds and ends. Since ds is here, we're having his favorite veggie burgers & brats for dinner. Dh and I are going to watch a Jim Gaffigan special tonight. He cracks me up.😁 4 Quote

SKL Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Howdy, happy Saturday! Finally getting to this thread. Woke up at 7:something, put a lot of effort into getting out of bed and waking Kid2 up so she could go riding. Kid2 decided she was too sick to go riding. (Probably legitimate.) Went back to bed... Woke again because the fixit guy was at the door at 9am. He brought an electrician. Electrician says we basically need to rewire our whole house. Spent a couple minutes of downtime. Woke kid1 up to get ready for her cheer gig. Texted kids' friend's mom about movie outing tomorrow. (Mom has not responded.??) Cheer gig - left home about 11am, arrived back home close to 5pm. Tried to nap, but the nap wouldn't come. Got on the computer and caught up with emails, news, social media, etc. Did my daily yoga etc. / TKD forms. To do: Work - I have some "deadlines" and also really need to get some things done, as tomorrow will be a busy day. Make the kids shower and go to bed. I have let the kids be pretty lazy today, which means possibly another weekend will go by without doing the AHG things I want them to do. Ugh.... 5 Quote
