Jean in Newcastle Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 I have googled this. Honest. But the instructions online don't seem take into consideration that dd had some classes that were only for a semester. So She has 22.5 credits total. 19 of those are regular full year courses where she received an A. She has one full year course that is Honors, where she received an A. One full year course was a B. She also has 3 semester courses which were all A's. So using instructions which seemed to count full and half year A's the same, I came out with a gpa of 3.95. And a weighted gpa of 3.97. Is this correct? Or should I be counting the full and half year courses differently? Quote
Lori D. Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 That's what I come up with: 19 credits = A (4.0) 19.00 credits x 4.00 = 76.00 1 credit = A, Honors (4.5 <-- weighted) 1.00 credit x 4.50 = 4.50 1 credit = B (3.0) 1.00 credit x 3.00 = 3.00 3 courses, each 0.5 credit = A (4.0) 0.50 credit x 4.00 = 2.0 0.50 credit x 4.00 = 2.0 0.50 credit x 4.00 = 2.0 total of 6.0 weighted: add total grade points = 76.00 + 4.50 + 3.00 + 6.00 = 89.50 divide by total credits = 89.50 / 22.5 = 3.9778 unweighted: add total grade points = 80.00 + 3.00 + 6.00 = 89.00 divide by total credits = 89.00 / 22.5 = 3.9556 1 Quote
