We don’t have the income cushion for larger stocks of disaster preparedness supplies. We are buying our normal foods, just making sure we aren't low on anything. I don't anticipate power or water problems.
prairiewindmomma
I thought this might be of interest: https://www.epicurious.com/expert-advice/how-to-stock-kitchen-for-coronavirus-and-other-emergencies-article The various links within the article are good. They also include a two week all-pantry meal plan: https://www.epicurious.com/recipes-menus/all-pantry-meal-plan-for-coronavirus-and-other-emergencies-article (suppers only, not necessarily kid friendly, but something to contemplate) 2

Shelf stable meals because if you're sick you might not be able to cook or get out to the store. Shelf stable meals will last for the duration of the illness while food in the fridge might not. Things probably will last in the freezer... but they'll at least require thawing, whereas canned soup only requires opening.
OH_Homeschooler
This company is great. You will get a lot of dried food so you will need water for most of it. I ordered a box around Thanksgiving and haven't used too much of it. But now I'm thinking it's perfect for an emergency stockpile. You get a lot for the price, and you can probably find discount codes online. https://fullcart.org/get-started/
