Aerie underwear sizing for teen?

I want to order some underwear for my daughter from Aerie, but we don't have a store nearby and I am hoping to get the right size so I don't have to drive far to return.  

She's 5'8" and around 135 pounds.  At Old Navy, she wears a size 2 in their jeans, small tall for tops.  I see the size chart at Aerie where I'd order a S or XS, but some of the comments make me think a medium might be better?  I've never ordered from Aerie before so I don't know how their sizing is.  Medium sounds like it would be too big.  Or maybe I should just order different sizes and plan on making the return trip.

My 5'7" 120 lb slim-but-muscled athlete wears a small. She was a 0 in American Eagle jeans. I think I would try medium.

My 5'4" 87 lb daughter wears XXS in Aerie underwear. I think their underwear does run small which makes it a great choice for my daughter. My other daughter, 5'1" 100 lb wears a small in their underwear. I too think I would try medium.
