I would particularly like to listen to books that are especially excellent in the Audible format, which is certainly not true of every good book. Practically any genre; I usually have a mix of non-fiction and fiction going on at any time and I intend to get four books that are different from each other. Tiberia Posted January 27, 2020 Share Posted January 27, 2020 I've recently enjoyed: Non-Fiction The Case Against Sugar (not flashy, but interesting and motivational for me to decrease sugar use) Call Me God (story of the DC Sniper investigation, but not too graphic) Inspired, by Rachel Held Evans (she's fun to listen to, brutally honest, and brings hope to me regarding faith and doubt) Any Great Courses by Robert Greenberg, if you have interest in classical music. Manhunt: The Twelve Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, by Leah Remini Classics: Jane Eyre narrated by Thandie Newton Rebecca, narrated by Anna Massey To Kill a Mockingbird, narrated by Sissy Spacek The Chosen, by Chaim Potok, narrated by Jonathan Davis I have also purchased Hidden Figures because I loved the movie, but I haven't listened to it yet. About the The Troubles in northern Ireland. A NYT top 10 book last year. The narrator was great. To kill a mockingbird The Year of Living Danishly The Way I Heard It - so fun! Im listening to the first book now and will probably work through them all, even though I have physically read them several times. It was very good non-fiction. I read Faith Unraveled by Rachel Held Evans late last year and really related to her struggles with the faith. I am downloading Searching for Sunday by her. My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot True Grit by Charles Portis and you can't go wrong with Jane Eyre!
