The younger boys' DnD just got changed to a video game hang-out; we leave here in a minute to take them.

We decided, let oldest sleep till he wakes up, and then we'll help him pack, get ready, drop him off. Figured starting this thing off with a good night's sleep was a good idea. And we'll feed him a good breakfast, etc.

I still need to write him notes/call the place make sure I can tuck notes in his luggage for him and he'll get them.

DH wants to go printer shopping.

Maybe actually clean the sewing room.

Reader- thinking of you today.

Selkie- such pretty pics! We haven't had snow since Thanksgiving, I think. It is in the twenties or lower all night and early morning and nearing 50 or more in the afternoon- a strange January.

Today is a fairly regular day- dd2 is at practice, dh left to run some errands and return the skis. I am drinking coffee and planning the day.

  • coffee/paper
  • daily chores
  • read a little
  • check the milk jug seeds and plant a few more
  • dh is playing tennis later
  • ds3 has tennis tonight
  • not sure what dd2 has going on
  • handwork or cut out a dress if I am feeling ambitious.

Have a great day!

Kind of frustrated.  I eat exactly the same meals for breakfast, lunch and snack - same foods, same amounts.  My only different meal is dinner where I have only meat and veggies.  (My other meals are also low carb.)  My sugars which were perfect on this diet at the beginning of the month, are now trending upward.  Ugh.  My weight though is holding towards the lower end of my normal fluctuation so at least that is good.

Human care is done.

Pet care is done - though not the special things yet.

medical care is done

morning exercises are done - added one more rep to each of my sets.  "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!"

researched gluten free options at the vegetarian Thai place that we are eating at today.

Did a little bit of health research.

Put away the kites

Changed out the cat box.

Washed, dried and put away dishes, knives and pans.

Wiped down counters, microwave and stove.

Washed out the automatic waterer and set it up again.

Put up the curtain rod that came down in my hand this morning.

Done:

  • Kid2 to horse riding.
  • Hung new shower curtains.
  • Quick "yoga etc." routine so I can say I didn't skip a day.  (I will try to do it more slowly later though.)
  • Me to TKD.
  • Me & kid2 to grocery store & drive-thru lunch.
  • A little housework so kids' classmate can come over to play / bake cookies.
  • Various electronic conversations with kids' friends' parents.
  • Caught up on emails, news, social media, calendar, school stuff.
  • A little reading.
  • A tiny bit of client work.

To do:

  • Ordering delivery for dinner to feed guest.
  • Client work.
  • Force the kids to do some homework, music practice, maybe some AHG work or Confirmation notes ....
  • Kids need to shower / wash hair.
  • Probably some more housework.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Escaped having to drive across town to the party. Just collected three girls and had them at the right place on time so they could ride with another mom.

Got some deskwork done, but more to do. Same with laundry.

Ended up visiting with my mom when I came to pick up ds. Ate dinner with them, now we're watching a movie.

Guessing not much else gets done tonight except get home and read some.

The young ladies we hosted were up, breakfasted on lunch over dinner items, their choice and at our church for a 7am drop off.🎉

Came back home to strip beds and gather towels for laundry

Picked up dog from overnight kennel stay

Started laundry and vacuumed

Went to lunch with my adopted grandchild😊

Did errands with hubby

Leftovers for dinner😊I had rum cake

Relaxing now with an early bed time😊

The kids' afternoon with their friend was great but quite messy and muddy.  I am glad they had fun, but spent a fair amount of time cleaning up cookie mess and helping them clean up their mud mess.  We won't discuss how to classify their decision to toboggan down our steep muddy (not snowy) ravine.

Once the mess was cleaned up, everyone wanted to watch an episode of Little House on the Prairie.  Next they went off to shower and I am trying to get motivated to work.
