I hope the “who wants to tackle...” folks are not unhappy about this. I get kind of lost in those threads. Yesterday I was not able to get the car inspected (boo) and MILs visit was less intrusive than I feared (yay!). This morning Dh and I took the car to the mechanic and walked home, so we got a walk together. Today:

1. Bathe the dog and apply flea treatment.

2. Return the stuff I bought on my J Jill gift card. Everything was too big. Thank you vanity sizing. 😡

3. Meal plan from what’s in the fridge and freezer and make a shopping list.

1. Finish cleaning out the spare bedroom (I've worked on it for a week and am almost done). It had become our junk room in recent years.

I got my other two things done yesterday but not this. We're down to the piddly stuff which is harder to sort through. It's easier to say keep, give away, or toss when it comes to big stuff. Little stuff requires more work imo. It needs to get done though.

1. Finish cleaning out the spare bedroom.

2. Run the Roomba - I've let basic household duties get away from me while working on the moving prep.

3. Buy sheets for ds' bed. He got a new mattress and I told him I'd pick up some nice new sheets to go with the new mattress.

I like “top 3”

I’ve been using a “next 3” concept for awhile.

according to my “next 3” made last night:

1 Bed change/laundry

2 Pay bills

3 Print Out a form my son needs filled

as of this Morning,

1 Treat dog ears

needs to move in on top as more urgent

  1. .Work. I have been fighting off whatever ick has hit everyone else in the house, but I coughed much of the night and woke up with a sore throat and no voice today. So, I let my manager know I would be working from home. I'm supposed to be drafting the text for a new course, but I am having trouble getting and staying focused. - Not "done," but on its way. I was aiming at finishing one module, and I'm not there yet. However, I have gotten something of a second wind and hope to buckle down for another hour or two and get at least the roughest of rough drafts completed.
  2. Investigate ordering replacement lenses for my "good" reading glasses. I'm not due for an eye exam until summer, but my favorite pair of prescription reading glasses has some pretty good dings in the lenses. I have a couple of back-up pairs, but these are the ones I like to keep in my purse and use at work. I'm hoping it won't cost too much to just pay out-of-pocket for new lenses. Since I'm home today, I plan to use my lunch break to scoot over to the office and find out. - Done, and it turns out I had a "one-time scratch guarantee," so the new lenses should be here in about a week and cost me $0.
  3. Schedule my car for service. My regular shop told me it needed almost $1000 worth of work, which just didn't feel right. (My husband and I have been less comfortable with this shop since the previous manager moved on.) I took it to the dealership for a second opinion, and they said it probably needs only about half of that work, but weren't able to either say for sure or complete the work the day I was there (late afternoon appointment). So I need to schedule a time for them to complete the diagnosis and, potentially, do the repairs. - Done.
