Online practice for Chemistry naming, formula writing, balancing equations, and more!

Recommended Posts

I can't remember if I've shared this before but @Pen's post reminded me of it.  I thought I'd tag Pen but share it in a separate post so it's more easily found by searching. 🙂

This teacher has put together a GREAT online resource for students to practice chemical naming, formula writing, balancing equations, gas law calculations, stoichiometry calculations, and more.  NOTE: The questions available in the "quizzes" may go further than your student has learned to go in her/his chemistry course.  If she/he might get frustrated with having some questions in the "quiz" be at a level that beyond what she/he has learned, that might be a factor to consider.  It's why I don't share all these links with all my students in my various chemistry courses - I don't want to inadvertently frustrate a student with questions that he/she hasn't learned to solve.  There's no way to pick and choose questions within the quizzes - it's all random.  Just something to keep in mind. 🙂  If your student is fine with skipping any questions that she/he can't answer and having their "score" be lower because of it, they let them loose!

This is the link to the main list of online "quizzes" (although they provide far more questions to practice with than a typical "quiz" :))...
