Good morning! I am enjoying a quiet morning, dh left to cantor and sing. dd2 is sleeping. I need to get things sorted for the week and find a better way to communicate with certain people.

Also, one more drive to watch one race. This has added to the stress and tedium of the weekend.

  • coffee
  • update calendar for next week
  • try to figure out a better way to do things in my personal life
  • read a little
  • daily chores
  • pick up holds from library this afternoon
  • watch football
  • leave for meet, watch one race, leave again
  • meet up with friend? might not work
  • not sure what else

Have a great day!

Good afternoon!  We had a huge dump of snow and it hasn't quite stopped everywhere. About 1.5 feet of fresh powder. It is a treat after all the freezing rain, is all I can say. Much prefer snow.

Done:

- hike in the woods with gaiters to keep the snow out of my boots. Fun stuff!

- shower, coffee, breakie, lunch

To do:

- snowshoe with dd

- dinner and church with a friend

Mostly puttering this afternoon - a little laundry, made cookies, read a good bit, more laundry, watched some football. Our Titans gave it a good try, but the Chiefs are just a better team.

Kids are napping. Being a teen is exhausting! I remember being SO tired.

Need to make a salad and reheat the soup for dinner.

Hi guys.  Happy Sunday!  So far so good.

We accomplished Confirmation class (including handing in the kids' overdue tests), church, and cheering at the 3rd day of the boys' basketball tournament.

I just found out today that my cousin's dad's funeral was this afternoon.  I probably could have barely made it, but I decided not to go for a few reasons.  I wish my sister didn't call and tell me about it so I could feel guilty.

Sister also requested cash again.  I'm sorry but that makes me tired.  I feel like there is a big leak somewhere and I'm pouring more water in and that's actually a stupid thing to do, yet I can't seem to say no.  This seriously needs to end.  I have said that before, and she held off for some time, but now it seems worse than ever.  She has a full time job, and the only reasons for big expenses are choices.  I don't like telling other people what to do, but man.  I guess I'm just as bad with my choice to be an enabler ....

Back home, I made the kids finish their music practice and sketch book assignments before they could have their phones.  With tomorrow being a holiday for them, I can be a bit relaxed today.

I am supposed to be reviewing a business proposal.  I haven't even looked at it yet, but I know this is gonna be a mega time suck / stress source, and I don't have veto power.  No wonder the mere thought of it makes me want to go to bed and cover up my head.

Also, the weather has gone from raining yesterday to really really cold today.  I'm pretty sure that's making me tired.  Maybe humans were designed to hibernate?

Checked (or tried to check) school progress and homework for the week.  Teachers have posted no new grades since Friday and no homework for this week.  I wish they would be more timely.

Should probably feed the kids something before bedtime.  Might do some laundry.  Have tons of client work to do and hope they are all off tomorrow.

If I have the energy, I should lay out some AHG badge work I want my kids to do tomorrow.  We are running out of time.

🙁 I wanted the Titans to win. I'm not even a football fan, but I like them after seeing them in The Game Changers documentary (about plant based eating). A lot of the team members (around 15 of them, I think) are vegans. I was rooting for plant power!🌱🙂

Podiatrist done, library done, haircuts done but took an hour and a half. An hour of waiting and half an hour for the actual barbering!  Grocery shopping done.  Put Corned beef on for tea and ate some pumpkin soup.
