mom31257 Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 (edited) Good morning! I flipped over in the bed quickly and had a moment of vertigo. I was so afraid it was going to go into a full blown episode. Thankfully, it did not. I think it let's me know that my right ear is the culprit because I flipped to my right side, while I normally sleep on my left side. Since the last episode, I've continued having weird sensations in my head, mostly in the car or moving my head a lot. Today: meals ds to haircut appointment school with ds tutor 2 students figure out computer situation (We bought a used laptop from a reputable repair shop and have had a second problem with the battery. Ds needs a laptop for this semester and needs it by tomorrow's class. I'm frustrated because I thought we could save money. But maybe buying a brand new one is really the way to go.) laundry pay bills tidy house and clean bathrooms Edited January 13, 2020 by mom31257 6 1 Quote

MysteryJen Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Laundry going, daily chores completed, electronic chores finished. Booked a hotel room for ds1 and gf to go and see dd2 swim in March with me. Filled up my new super spray bottle with water- a gift from my dmil to combat the brazen rose-eating squirrels. She offered to buy me a BB gun- she is a spectacular mil 😂 I tried it out- amazing range- my kids think I am crazy. If they think I am crazy now- it will definitely be easier to slide into my 80s. They will just wave their hands and say, "she has always been a little nuts." Next up: conference with ds3 and a little work in the sewing room 1 3 Quote

SKL Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Howdy, happy Monday. I was up most of the night getting out some work I had promised. Slept less than an hour before I had to get up for the kids. Then I slept about 4 more hours. Done: Finished laundry and fed the bird in the wee hours. Big client project onto someone else's desk for a few hours. (It is back on mine now.) Review of kids' math homework - quick correction needed. Kids up and off to the bus stop on time, hopefully with everything needed. They got there before the bus - yay! It's been a while since that happened. I might have threatened an extra half hour of "mom work" if I got stuck driving them to school. Washed a few dishes etc. 1st cup of coffee made. Napped for 4 hours. Finished that 1st cup of coffee. Caught up on emails, social media, news, calendar, online school stuff. Got a couple small work tasks done. To do: More coffee. Yoga. TKD form practice. Make chiro appointments for me and my kid. More small work things. Re-boot computer. Record tax deductible donations, file receipts. De-clutter a couple bins downstairs. Clear out a corner in my room, vacuum it, and put CD rack there if it fits. Kids' homework. Drive Kid2 to clarinet lesson. Walk during clarinet lesson? Probably drive thru supper? Force kids to shower & go to bed at a reasonable time. With bags packed. More work / whatever else gets done. 5 Quote

Are all the animals and human ok? Our freezing rain got snowed on and became 6" of snow. It's beautiful, not slippery, fun and easy to walk, and IMPOSSIBLE to shovel. It's like poured concrete dried into snow. 🥶 We've decided to just drive over it and not clear off the anything as it's not icy. 5 Quote
mom31257 Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 (edited) Ds and dh are off to swim, and I need to cook dinner while they are gone. I picked up the laptop with a new battery, so we'll see how it goes. I met a friend at a church with a gym for the community, and I walked with her. Made a run to the grocery store, too. I have felt pretty good today in spite of my almost vertigo incident. Edited January 13, 2020 by mom31257 4 Quote
ScoutTN Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Laundry is running. Tidied up various parts of the house, but it still feels cluttery. STILL waiting on dh to get boxes down from the attice so the last of the Christmas items can be packed away. They are sitting forlornly in a heap on the sofa right now. Packed lunches Culled my inbox. Printed an assginment sheet for ds To do: Supervise math hw - starting at 9:00 pm. Ugh. Talk about tomorrow's schedule with dh. Read My mom really enjoyed our outing to the Bluebird Cafe (singer-songwriter place) today! I am so glad! Hopefully, having ds in school will free up some time for more short, easy, fun things with her. 3 Quote

We've gotten a few inches of snow, so while the ice is still lurking underneath, at least there is some traction on top of it. Today, it is supposed to get warm and melty (36F), and then more freezing rain tomorrow. Hopefully, it won't rain for hours on end like it did the other night! 2 Quote

We have a similar situation, though probably colder here in eastern Ontario that where you are. Hope the freezing rain misses you. Hate that stuff! We've got more cold temps coming our way, as well as snow. I'd much rather this than rain. 2 Quote
