keep in mind - there are at least two types of "beginner" yoga.  yoga for people who aren't fit; and yoga for people who are fit, but new to yoga.

yoga with Adrienne on youtube

yoga journal has a section on different poses, you can put together your own program with the focus you want.

I've done yoga to dvd's.  I have really liked

Suzanne deason's "yoga conditioning for weight loss"  (good for people who are not fit.)

Barbara benagh

Ashley turner

after two knee injuries - I really need to get back to yoga . . . .

I have been using Downdog app and I really love it. It is verrry flexible. You choose the length of practice, voice, amount of talking, background music, level (beg 1, beg 2, intermediate, etc), you can also choose a "focus" - sometimes I practice for flexibility.

I have done yoga in the past and an reasonably fit. They have a try before you buy option. I was still on the fence and they lowered the price.
