I know it is old news now, but I hope everyone will see it.  It was amazing.  I was not prepared to be so moved by it.  I told my SIL later ‘I want to BE Mr. Rogers.’

it is possible that it affected me so much because I went to TX and saw my sister and my bio father last weekend.  He wanted to see me.  He acted excited to see me.  It was all very surreal.

That's wonderful!

I haven't seen the movie, but a few months ago I watched a documentary about Mr.Rogers. He was such a gentle, kind soul -- I was literally in tears for parts of it. (And I wasn't a huge fan as a kid; I watched but at that age I preferred Sesame St.)

I haven't yet seen either the documentary or the movie, but a friend told me to watch the documentary, then the movie. She said that she appreciated the movie even more due to watching the documentary first.

Exactly what i said after watching it. I loved what it said about him as a man. Inspiring!
