Pen Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 I think it has way too much pectin...or something. Sticky filling. Mixed berry topped with apple. Sweetened mostly with lucuma , maybe that goes sticky. Or maybe the raspberry part turned into sticky as I don’t see them as whole berries now. Pretty appearance, good odor wafting in house, good taste, ... but the consistency, oh my word. Definitely something I want different next time! 1 1 Quote

Two of my daughters did a trial run of making an Oreo cheesecake last week, and then made a spectacular one on Christmas Eve....only for us to forget to take it to our family gathering on Christmas Day 😕 More cheesecake for us, but wow, what a Christmas fail on my part. 1 2 Quote

In the process of making the butterscotch pie, I don't know what I did, but it ended up caramel. And it's like oh foo, caramel pie, lol. Eat it with the apple pie beside it and all is well. 1 Quote
Tree Frog Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 I made a lemon meringue pie and forgot to put sugar in the meringue. The pie crust wasn't cooked sufficiently before I put the lemon filling in, so 2 of the 3 components weren't very good. But the lemon part was excellent! Quote
