TheReader Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 DH ordered an item for a coworker (a joint gift that all the coworkers are going in on for this other coworker); order was placed 12/10, with a statement on the website that items would begin shipping 12/13. DH paid for 2-Day shipping, based on that, in order to assure delivery by 12/18 (for the office party on 12/19). As of today (12/16), no email or text saying it has shipped. DH emailed the contact center and got an auto reply (in the wee hours of this morning) but nothing since. A search on the website turns up the same contact email DH used.....and no customer service phone number. A google search for the phone number turns up nothing either. It's an XFL Jersey, and while I can find a contact for the XFL of that city for "general inquiries" I am 99% sure that's for the team info, not for the shop. There does not appear to be a customer service number for the shop portion of the website, anywhere. Elsewhere on the website there's a statement that "some items" are print on demand (doesn't say which ones, and I can't imagine the jersey's would be, would they??) (there's no note on the jersey page that it's one of those items) and as such "allow 3 to 7 business days before shipping" -- in which case, DH should maybe have done overnight shipping, and he's willing to pay to upgrade to such but would like very much to talk to a real person and sort this out. Anyone willing/able to help me hunt down a phone number?? Or just wait on them to email back....? (email promises a reply w/in 24 hours, which would theoretically be enough time to switch to overnight IF it were able to be a 2-way conversation and not just them emailing "oh, sorry, those haven't shipped yet" and then DH having to email *back* and wait another 24 hrs to say/hear "yes, but, can I get it overnighted...." Suggestions?? (and, honestly, if it arrives early enough on the 19th, I can drive it up to work for him) Gosh, but as Prime members we are spoiled to fast shipping....this kind of thing seems ridiculous. (even though maybe it shouldn't) 1 Quote
Lanny Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 (edited) First, above all, I hope that it arrives so it can be presented at the party and that it is perfect. Secondly, I hope to God that your DH paid for this item with a Credit Card. The Customer Service may be in China or somewhere. If the company web site doesn't have an address or phone number, that's not good, but I have seen web sites like that. With regard to paying extra for 2 day shipping or whatever costs extra. Years ago, when I began buying the Textbooks for DD when I read the Feedbacks for some of the Sellers I noticed that a bunch of times, people paid extra for Expedited Shipping and that resulted in their orders being badly delayed, because they were not in the normal system. To continue with that, we ordered something to be sent to DD (I think that was on a Thursday afternoon?) and there was an issue regarding the ETA and the date the Mail Room where she receives packages would close for the holidays. The first ETA was the 11th, with Free Shipping. But, if we paid $5 extra, supposedly it would arrive a couple of days before the 11th. Rarely do I do this, but before I clicked to submit the order (It was on Amazon but not FBA or Prime, a 3rd party Seller) I asked my wife if she wanted to pay the extra $5 for expedited shipping. She recited to me what I explained above about not paying for Priority Shipping. Well, the package was delivered by UPS last Saturday morning to the Mail Room, on the 7th, with Free Shipping. I was amazed and we are happy. Fingers crossed that the item will arrive on time and be perfect for the recipient. ETA: Possibly the phone number you have for General Inquiries in that city can help you get in touch with them. I suspect they may be in Asia (China, India or Vietnam, for examples, where the English spoken, isn't that good so probably email is a better way if they do not have Chat on their web site and you did not mention Chat. TheReader Posted December 16, 2019 Author Posted December 16, 2019 Thanks, all! It's a fairly legit website -- I mean, it's the brand new XFL, which is odd, but legit. So it's the actual XFL Shop linked on the XFL page; I found email and mailing address, but no phone number for claims, etc. Mildly concerning is that in the "shipping and returns" portion of the site, they state something along the lines of "If your order doesn't arrive, first, make sure you put in the correct address. If the address was entered incorrectly, that's on you; if the address was entered correctly and it still doesn't arrive, let us know, and we'll see what we can do." :Sigh: The phone number I found for general inquiries is, I think, the number to inquire about the XFL team in that town (local to us). I don't know that it would be linked to the shop at all; if we don't get an email back, I'll try that number in the morning anyway, maybe they can direct me to the right number at least. I'll try looking up the domain name owner...... Quote
Arctic Bunny Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Have you tried +1 203-989-3399 from the league Facebook page? Quote

I did find the phone number for General Inquiries for the team in question; called them last night and actually got a live person. She listened, did some investigating (also could not find a phone number for me, either, although said she knows/thinks it goes through Fanatics, and debated whether to give me that info or not). Someone else was also there, she asked him, put me on hold, and came back with info: she took our name, phone number, email, and the info on the order and is passing it to their operations manager who is to (hopefully) call today. She typed up the whole situation for him (when we ordered, when we need it, that we paid for 2nd day air shipping, etc.) (and really, we ordered on the 10th with a posted ship date of the 13th and stated standard shipping time of 3-5 days, for an item we need on the 18th; we upgraded to the 2nd day shipping anyway just to allow wiggle room/a cushion. Little did we know that we'd be approaching the time to receive it w/o having any info that it has actually shipped or not.....). I did tell her I knew she wasn't the right person, I was just hoping to reach/get info on how to reach the right department. She was super helpful, though, and appreciated knowing that there is zero "customer service" info on the shop side of the website. Hopefully this leads to resolution (and improvements in the future). I had success with a similar situation a few years ago by going through odd channels like this; hopefully this is the same. Quote

See my info above, I think we reached someone last night that will actually help, but if not, I'll try the number you shared above as well. Thank you! And may I just say, whoever is doing the XFL search optimizing is doing a really good job....I can't get anything *useful* to come up in any search using those terms, LOL! 1 Quote
