Janeway Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 My son wants a car for an 18 inch doll. He wants a blue one. I found a pink one. Would model car paint work? Or would it rub off or chip off making not good for a toy car? I bought this car..... https://www.target.com/p/our-generation-in-the-driver-seat-retro-cruiser-pink-convertible-for-18-dolls/-/A-52297205 Quote

katilac Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 I think painting it would be really hard to do. You would want plastic paint dmmetler says, but I would get regular (not spray paint). Does it have to be all blue? This one is half blue, half orange, with pink seats. Quote
itsheresomewhere Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 They have spray paint for plastics that is excellent for this. Very durable so when he drives it into stuff, it won’t immediately chip. Just tape off anything you don’t want painted. Quote
gstharr Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 It has been a while since I refurbished road find PowerWheels. It that is plastic, you need Rustoleum plastic spray paint, and a can of plastic primer. do not use regular enamel paint on plastic. For best result, you will need to disassemble as much of the car as you can. spray the pieces individually. a few coats. But having said that, I would keep looking for a blue car, The car is pretty pricey for one that you know will have to repaint. Then, that car is going to be abused. the paint will chip. Quote
