Popular Post Jann in TX Posted December 10, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 10, 2019 My first grandchild was born last Thursday. He is healthy and BEAUTIFUL-- good baby too! DD was having complications-- breech baby and pre-eclampsia so they took him at 37 weeks by c-section... The edema was so sever that it damaged DD's hands-- she only has feeling in her pinkies and parts of her ring fingers-- the rest are numb and PAINFUL... some sort of pregnancy carpal tunnel thing... because of this I get to be primary care giver...while I really enjoy more baby-time I'm so sad for DD. I'm so TIRED-- at least he is 3-4 hours in between feedings DD and I work 'together' during them... DD wants to BF but cannot hold him and position very well--she ends up pumping most of the time (thankfully she gets a meal + in 15 minutes with a hand pump (less milk and more time with an electric one!). Hopefully as the edema continues to resolve she will regain function!! Meet Charlie: 61 Quote

school17777 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 (edited) Congratulations! I couldn’t use my right arm after last my csection with youngest. Dh had to sign everything for me and when I nursed in the right side, I had to lie down. Use came of arm came back, but I was told my arm would be weak up to six months after I stopped nursing. Hope her arm heals quickly! Edited December 10, 2019 by school17777 1 Quote

stephanier.1765 Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 He's beautiful! Both he and your dd are blessed to have you and you will cherish this time forever. My second grandchild is due in August and it's so incredibly exciting. If anyone had told me just how great being a grandmother would be, I would have rolled my eyes and though they were exaggerating. Grandkids are wonderful and mine is the light of my life. 2 Quote
