Travel Journal recommendations

My daughter is going to be doing a little college trip next spring, and I want to get her a travel journal.  I'd like something handmade, not mass-produced (like Moleskine or Leuchtturm). I saw some on Etsy and will look more there, but if anyone has suggestions for something lovely and well-made, I would love to hear it.  She loves Rifle Paper products and I will do that if necessary but would still like to find something different. It could be a refillable leather cover as long as refill pages will be easy to get. I'd love one that that has one lined and one unlined page per spread. She is an artist, so there may be a combination of writing/sketching in there.  

Suggestions?

ETA: I am going to bed now, and work in the morning, so if you post something and I don't respond till midday EST tomorrow (or even later, depending) please don't think this is a hit and run thread. I'm interested! 

ETA2: Why did I say leather? She does not use products made of leather. It just hit me this morning.

Chick sparrow makes "traveler's notebooks" which are pieces of leather with strings attached. You add inserts which is very helpful. Handmade, million dollars, totally worth it. PM me for a coupon.

Slache, that leather one is gorgeous and I would love it, but it's too pricey (as you noted) and then I remembered that she won't use leather. Duh, how did I forget that about my own kid?
